Is someone can give me an example in code making in searching for telephone numbers. Im just a begginer with just a little knowledge in coding. Any simple example that can give me hints on how to start a code in searching of telephone numbers.
View 1 RepliesI have a problem on getting both the names and the telephone numbers into the textbox.I have 2 textbox, a 'To' button and another button in the form1 while I have a datagridview which display the details of the customers and a button which for after selecting the selected details. When the application is run, I click on the 'To' button and it will link to the form2 which is the datagridview that display the details of the customers. After selected the details, it will click on the button on form2 and it will go to first textbox of the form1, it will display the telephone numbers. after that when I click on the other button, it will extract the string from the first textbox. But the problem is it get only the telephone numbers. why is that so? I want to get both the telephone numbers and names.

I have a problem in putting the telephone number using the datagridview. I have build 2 forms which is form1 and form2. In the form1 there are 2 textbox and a 'To' button whereas in the form2, there is a datagridview which display the telephones numbers and a button. When run the application, the user need to get the telephone numbers from the database so that is why when clicked on the 'To' button, it will go to the form2 which is the datagridview. After selecting the telephone numbers and click on the button at the form2, the telephone numbers will be display at the form1 first textbox. But the problem is that, I grab the telephone number which has been display in the form1 first textbox to the second textbox in the form1. I could not get the telephone numbers.

View 5 RepliesSo I have to make a program that will Generate 500 random 6 character license plate numbers and stick them in a list box. Then I have to be able to search for them. But it has to be a partial search so when search is clicked it should loop through the list box and compare each value with the partial.
For example the search term "in" would return things like "indigo" "running" "bingo" "indian" if they were in my list box.

When the search button is clicked the program needs to take whats in that searchBox and compare it with the list box. So it will have to loop through the same number of times as there are terms in the list box. Any matches need to be displayed in the answerBox (text Box)

1) After getting errors I converted System.Runtime.CompilerServices.Extension to Global.System.Runtime.CompilerServices.ExtensionAttribute which is the closest I could come up with, and I get errors on the line (26)

I'm going through the chapter that has me do data binding by setting the properties of a DataGrid and TextBoxes.
It had me drag a DataAdapter onto the form and had me generate a DataSet. This part works fine. It also had me set the binding through the Text propert of each TextBox. This also works fine as it displays the correct data as the user navigates through the DataGrid.
I think there may be something missing from the code samples in the book because saving the data back to the database is not working and even no errors are reported.[code]...
I know how to genrate a serial number using GUID. How can I use it. Suppose I send a CD with the software to someone. I do not want just anyone to use it. They have to have the KEY or SN. How can I impliment it so that if you do not have the s/n / key then you will not be able to install the software.
