Like my computer have 3 image, and this is the location of these 3 image:
C:/A.jpg
C:/B.jpg
D:/C.jpg
And this is the 3 image preview: now if we use eye common sense, we will saw that A.jpg is similar with C.jpg (just think that C.jpg is not animated) But now if i use VB.net to find the for the similar image, how can this be? (just like the searching function on computer but this is searching for similar images, and also what google images does (google image have a function that search for similar images))
I have 3 images. All of them have a different background color and each have a different font used but have the same "number".Basically, I have 3 images, one with black background and another with red one. One image haver the number one "1" write in Arial and another with the same number but in comic sans and a third with number two "2"There's anyway to VB tell that are the same number inside?Maybe if I compare pixel to pixel and choose the one with less difference in pixels will do it?
I am attempting to create a class library that can either search a bitmap to determine whether or not it contains an exact match to a second bitmap or if it contains a partial match. Currently it only returns true if i search the image for itself or if the sensitivity is below around 15%, even when i search with an image that i know should return true. The images I am using are simply a screenshot saved in paint and a section of that first screenshot also saved in paint. Here is my current .dll coding for VB 2008 Express

I am planning to create a system for my case study wherein i can Add tags from images and search for it by "tags" such as photobucket. For example i open an image to my system, and it's file name was "WhiteHouse.jpg" and i added or tagged it as "Building". Once i search on my computer, and type the word/keyword "Building", the image "WhiteHouse.jpg" will be displayed on search results as i tagged it on my system.Is that possible guys? or i can only search by tags using my system/application? and not in the search command in my computer?If it is possible please tell me what to do. or if you have sample vb.net2008(windows Application) files it will be helpful. The idea is to scan a folder of images and then let the user navigate back and forth through the images using a couple of buttons.The problem is, I can only get it to return a single image, and not the whole lot. It's looks to me as though the images are getting assigned to the same index in the array. [code]
What type of connector do i need to actually save the Map data like point of the images (x,y coordinate) into the database . and then retrieve it to show on the page in asp.net and how do i go about doing it.
The app i am working on is for creating theme for the iPod touch... It has to deal with LOTS of images (100's potentially) There will be the set of default images, and then the user created replacement images. I started loading all the defaults into a resx file... thinking then I could just pull them out. now that I started setting the default, this sucks! lol the app will do this, on load it will set all the images (variables) to the resx images then when a theme is loaded, it will replace the default with the user image (if the user img exists) otherwise, the default stays. Then the "screen" is drawn to show the user. so, here is just the images to build the wallpaper, dock, and status bar...
I was thinking to make an app to save images [or download images] to local hard disk. But to keep it easy, I want this app to create a small picturebox on form to show the thumbnail of downloaded image. Lets say a 5 pictureboxes has to be added with the thumbnails to show the recent downloads. A user can save the location where he wants to save the files on hard disk. A listbox or a dropdown menu will help in categorizing the images, like image1 in friends section, image2 in family section, image3 in others, etc... When the program restarts all the latest 5 thumbnails has to be loaded in pictureboxes and the directory that was chosen. Finally, a button that shows the downloaded images into original image file size one by one or a slide show. Is it possible to make such program?
I am developing a visual basic 2008 express edtion program of an organisation that should get images from the system and display on image/picture box. further the program should save the displayed image in access database so that it can be retrieved together when you want to search the information about that particular employee.

I have placed several PictureBox Images of different colored dots(which represent lights) on an image of a Christmas Tree. I can make the lights randomly flash using a randomGenerator and a Select case statement. However, the code is very long. There are 67 lights on this tree and the code is 71 pages long. There has to be an easier way to do this. So far I have tried the following with two images of lights just to see if it would work and it does not work:

How do I use those images in my Resources Folder in my solution explorer to set an image for a certain picturebox or form. I sorta need a code for it.
I'm creating a form which is basically an image in a picture box that I use the graphics object to do drawstring's and drawimage's upon.I keep track of where I'm drawing these things so that I can click on them later and do various things (launch external apps - whatever).Is using a picturebox and the graphics object the best way to approach this.
I have a datagridview with 2 columns, 1 is Batch_Number and another is Existing_Stock, there is about 6000 rows.My question is, I want to be able to write in a TextBox and hit a Search Button to search the Batch_Number column and filter out or highlight the row with the matching number to see the Existing_Stock

I have a web site where users enter company names to use in the rest of the app. However, recently I've noticed that similar duplicates are appearing, e.g. someone will enter EastTec Solicitors another will enter EastTec Solicitors Ltd someone else will enter EastTec Solictors (missed the i out in Solicitors), when there should only be one entry of EastTec Solicitors. What is the best way of checking the database for entries similar to what they have entered? How would you about checking for spelling mistakes as well like the Solicitors one?

Using Drawing.Color, I get a nice pre-defined list of values to pick from.No extra methods.No constructors.Just values.
