Datagrid Checkbox Range Select?
Feb 24, 2009I have a datagrid, with an unbound checkbox column. How can I get a range select use shift and ctrl keys that will check the checkbox?The moment you check a box, it selects only that row, so the rows selected are down to just the row you clicked on. I've been playing with several events and settings and I can't seem to get it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?When your problem is solved, add (RESOLVED) to the end of your topic. This will save the guru's time and be able to solve more problems. Remove the question mark icon as well.

I tried both - SQL Select and Visual Basic - both options didnt work when I needed to pick the time range as above. Normal ranges during the 24 hour cycle where ok.

Jan 27, 2009I would like to select transaction id based from its creation date. All transactions are displayed on form load event on a datagrid. The select function should be executed on 2 datetimepicker (the first should be the start date, the last should be the end date).So there are three controls on a form, 2 datetimepicker and a datagrid. I managed to load all transactions into a datagrid, and managed to select/filter those transaction based on id, but not date.the table is called 'transaction_details', it contains 'transaction_id', 'transaction_date', and few other columns. transaction_id is the primary key.

So I am basically asking the user for the file directory of the excel file, then I setup some variables (originally set at public as project variables, since these were being used and changed in other places). I have also added the lines to set these variables to nothing (just in case, I do not think that it should matter). Jan 11, 2009I've found ways to read from a .txt file into Excel, but (having created and loaded an Excel sheet via vb.net 2008) I want to do the opposite which is to read each cell and row into a .txt file csv format like this: "Surname","Andrew","2","Mr","Hon.Member","PERCUSSION" I guess I need some way of knowing when the last row of data ends. Once in a .txt file I can load data in a variety of ways into several ListBox/s and labels without loading and reading the original Excel file.

So I am translating all the codes from "VBA" to "VB.NET" (Visual Basic 2008)But I haven't been able to use "Find Method" in VB.NET. I am using Microsoft Office XP Standart Edition (2002 Version). I downloaded and installed Office XP PIAs. After that I referenced them in my project. Dec 31, 2009I'm adding a method to find and select text in my text editor. Everything worked fine, including the ability to find all instances of the text. My problem came when I tried to make it more user-friendly (doesn't it always?). Originally I had only a menu item with a shortcut( Ctrl + F) which invoked an input box.
Then I added a textbox and a button (similar to that seen in a web browser's Find() method) that calls the method in the same manner as the Find/Replace menu option and displays the desired text in the textbox. Everything works fine except that the text is not selected. I have MessageBoxes displaying the values of required variables in 3 places (marked ***FOR DEBUG ONLY***) to make sure that no values are being changed, but all variables are the same. The method still locates the text, but it is not highlighted.
I think it could have something to do with which object has focus. (When I click the button, the selected text loses focus?). But if I click everything with the menu items, it still works...

where path points to a template file I created with a header and a watermark. The template has some bookmarks which I want to dynamically set to some appropriate text values:
doc.Bookmarks("DocumentTitle").Range.Text = "The Joy of Office Automation"
If I comment out that line, the document opens in Word with the watermark, etc, in place. If I let that line execute, it inserts the text as appropriate, but the watermark and other things disappear from the document. You can actually see it flash briefly, and then disappear.FWIW, this is Office Word 2007, and I am opening a .Dot (Word 97-2003) template. The Bookmark.Range.Text I am setting is in the document header.
