Apr 29, 2010I have a listbox populated with peoples names. When I click on a persons name in the listbox, a datagrid will unhide itslef, connect to a DB, and list all of the pictures that person has. All the pictures are stored on a drive in a folder named after the person. i.e.
Greg Palinkas has 52 images stored in F:PicturesGregPalinkasImages.
I would like to display all of those pictures in a Table Layout Panel populated by the choice I made in the listbox, so if I select Greg Palinkas, the Data Grid is pupulated with the names of all the images i have, and the Table Layout Panel is populated with all the pictures I have in my GregPalinkasImages folder. I have got the Data Grid updating and running smoothly, but am lost as to how to get the images to come up.

Jan 23, 2012I have a Datalist Control and Reading the pictures from folder and showing them in lightbox from Datalist I am also reading data and time from those pictures. Ist thing is that the datalist is not reading the Date picture taken from the attributes and second is that pictures are not being sorted in desc order of date picture taken.

What isn't working for me is the panels are slightly overlapped and one will always be on top of the other. it is transparent so you can see the back ground, but not the panel underneath it when it has a picture in it.

When I select something on the listbox, both of selecteditem and selectedvalue properties just return the student name, not the student id. So I get this error.

When you click the button whatever file is selected in the list box is then opened and each line of that file is added as an item in a list box on another form.I'm not sure what to code for if something in the first list box is not selected.

Feb 10, 2012I've being trying to work out a problem i've being having for a while now and i'm not sure if i'm over complicating it.When a form loads, it uses a for next loop to load an array of peoples names into a list box. However i want to extract the persons ID once their name has being clicked. I can make this work by using another for next loop until the selected name matches the an array number. However it fails if there are two people of the same name.Is there a command or piece of code that can extract the row number of the item selected?

The weird thing is the code i use works for most of it but on some of the writes and conversions it just converts the selectedindex to 00 when its not.

I kow there is definitely a problem with this piece of code im setting the index and length to constant numbers so if a different name is clicked it does not work!! is there another way to set this to allow for any length or index position??
