Setting Focus in particular cell of a datagrid
I have two datagrids in my form. I want to set focus to the particular cell of that datagrid. Result of one datagrid is to be displayed in the other one.
I am trying to write a script to set the focus to the folder view in Windows Explorer. Is there some sort of way I can find the folder view pane and set focus to it? A bit like finding a child window and setting focus to it using the Windows API functions.

Now I realise that you can't use the above functions to find parts of Windows but it just gives you the idea. If I could do it with API functions that would be fine otherwise I am a little bit limited because I am using a Visual Basic scripting type engine which I won't bore you with details of.
My problem is I have a data grid in Visual Basic, it works fine but as the columns extend past the width of the window I needed a scroll bar. This is where the problem arose. When a column past the 4th is clicked the scrollbar will shift to give it focus. As there are check boxes here they are constantly clicked and when they are the scroll bar shifts but the button isn't checked and must be clicked again. I was hoping there was a way to disable this Auto focus so clicking a column will not cause the scrollbar to move.

On the right half I have a document preview pane.As I change rows on the left half, I use the CurrentCellChanged event to open the document associated to that row in the previewer.This works fine, however, the focus is then placed in the preview pane which prevents the user from being able to use the arrow keys to step down a row at a time.To combat this, I made the final event in my CurrentCellChanged routine set the focus back to my datagridview. Unfortunately, even this doesn't always work because of what seems to be a timing issue.If the document to be previewed takes more than a fraction of a second to open, the code to move the focus to the datagridview is executed but after the image completes drawing, the focus is moved back to my previewer.I don't want to use a timer to force a delay and a DoEvents causes me some other issues.Is there some other event I can use to determine when my preview pane is complete and then and only then set the focus back to my datagrid?

These two fields have been populated with false and true values.
On my form, I have a datagridview which is populated with various values from tblProjectpatients.
The problem am facing is that the checkbox's for Yes and No on the datagridview are empty at runtime eventhough at the backend they have either False or True values.
