I can make the lights randomly flash using a randomGenerator and a Select case statement. However, the code is very long. There are 67 lights on this tree and the code is 71 pages long. There has to be an easier way to do this. So far I have tried the following with two images of lights just to see if it would work and it does not work:

Jun 19, 2010A DataGridView in my VB.NET 2008 program contains over 15,000 rows. I loop through the rows, totalling groups of rows and appending 'total rows' and one 'Final total row' to the DataGridView. That works fine. I want to initially hide all rows except for the total rows, giving the user the option to show all 'detail' rows. If i place the statement << dgvTitleCounts.Rows(intRow).Visible = False >> in the loop, execution time increases by three minutes and that is unacceptable.
I see two options: (1) find a faster way of making all rows invisible; and (2) place the total rows in a separate DataSet and bound DataGridView.

Feb 21, 2011I got a couple of issues with my windows application VB.Net. I seem to cannot set the form to be invisible before it shows up for a second, there is no option in the properties of a form and also if I set the form to visible = false before the form is loaded it doesn't work.

Panel's Visible Property Won't Change From 'False' To 'True'
Mar 25, 2012I am stumped on this one. I have a panel (pnlKeyPad) that won't change the visible property when I try to set it to True. But when I try to set the Dock Property to DockStyle.Fill it succeeds. I have tried them in different orders, setting the parent property to the splitpanel and nothing seems to fix it. The panel is on a splitpanel that is visible. The panel is set to visible = false by default.
Any ideas of why this panel won't switch to visible when I specifically set it to visible?[code]...

VS 2008 : Stray Graphics Path Image Generated When Label Is Set To Visible = False?

When a label is set to visible = false after being turned on for a number of seconds a stray image is generated. The stray images are also sometimes generated when the label is first made visible.

Nov 26, 2010I have a GridView with a load of data in, there is an ID associated to the data that I would not like to be visible to the users. All worked fine when all the cells were visible, but as soon as I change the ID DataBound column to false, when I try to access the item in code I get "" instead of it's actual value (that worked perfectly when it was visible).
Is there a reason for this? If not, how should I be approaching this?

Feb 25, 2011I have a form that has 13 groupboxes each with 6 radio buttons in them. I want to be able to tab through the left-most radio button in order. At load time, the left-most radiobutton in the top groupbox is checked. The only way I found to have this load unchecked is by setting it using a timer, but this makes it so that that radiobutton can't be tabbed to at all.

Apr 1, 2010VB GridView control will not allow code in the vb code file to access a data column that has its visible property set to false. When it is set to true, the data column can be accessed with no problem. Any suggestions as to how to correct this? I have looked through the documentation, text books, and I have not found anything that gave me any clue as to what the problem could be. Setting All Controls Inside A Panel To Visible?
Dec 30, 2009But I don't know if i posted this at the right place. I am making 40 textboxes inside a panel. And this textboxes I set it to visible=FALSE. Then I have another textbox named txtNoteam in which once the user will enter a number in this txtbox which is less than or equal to 40, those textboxes will be set to true starting from textbox1 to textbox40 depending on the number entered by the user. Example: user enters 3, then textbox 1 to textbox 3 will be set to visible.
I was successful in doing this except one thing, instead of textbox 1 to textbox 3 will be set to visible, it's the textbox 38 to textbox 40 will be set first. This means it will start from the last textbox to the first textbox instead of from textbox1 to the last textbox.
I need your help on what should I do for this to be able to set it to visible from the 1st textbox to the last textbox or is there any other ways of doing this?

Mar 13, 2012I have 2 group box components and both are same size,font,location and visible is false. When i click button2, the groupbox1 won't appear(the group box2 is on bottom n group box1 is on top).
