Share/Unsharing All Methods & Events Tedious?

(using VB.Net 2008) I have some modules in my program that I want to change to shared classes. This is due to subtle differences between shared classes and modules, such as how modules cannot be nested (I think). Of course, there is no such thing as a "shared class" in vb, rather just sharing every single sub, event, etc. So that means if I want to share or unshare a class, I must change the "Shared" part of the signature of every single method inside the class (of which there could be dozens or even hundreds). Is there an automated way to do this? Really think VB made a mistake by not simply declaring a class as "shared" (or just make modules completely identical to shared classes).

I've used mutiple threads in a VB.NET program but I don't know if I did it right.I would like to start about 3 threads.Can they all use the same methods?Will a separate instance of each method automatically be created for each thread?If not, how do you make sure that the data within the method that is used by one thread is not used by another thread?I would like some data to be shared by all threads.How is data shared among threads?What is the protocol for changing the data and checking for changed data?Is there a good tutorial / website that explains how to handle methods and data when using multiple threads?

I was wondering about the EventInfo.GetRaiseMethod and EventInfo.GetOtherMethods methods. Apparently, the CLR supports 4 kinds of methods associated with events: add, remove, raise, and "others". But events created in C# only have add and remove... I assumed that raise was used in VB, since you have to specify a RaiseEvent method when you declare a custom event, but apparently it's not the case: GetRaiseMethod always returns null.what's the point in having a raise method associated with an event if it's never used? Is there a specific MSIL instruction to raise an event using this method? (I couln't find anything like it in the opcodes)what are the "other" methods returned (well, not returned actually) by GetOtherMethods? What's are they supposed to do?are there types in the BCL that implement those special methods?

Whenever we need to handle events, we do it by creating a method which handles the event. Without creating methods; is there some other ways of handling events?

limit the default events, properties and methods exposed from a UserControl so it only displays to the developer the new events etc that I code myself.What i mean is I have created a UserControl with a panel and 5 buttons, written 1 Public Eventonly at this stage, I have placed an instance of the control on a form in a new project, but in the drop down menu that comes up after say (myUserControl1.), there is a massive list of options, I don't want those to appear.

I am not sure how clear my question is by the title, but I am trying to make Class methods instead of Instance methods in Visual Basic that way I don't have to waste memory and code creating temporary objects to execute methods that don't need instance variables.
I am not sure if you can do that in VB but I know you can in Objective-C by using either a "+" or "-" sign in front of the method declaration. And in C++ (at least I think, I can't remember) you put the static keyword or const keyword in front of the function.How would I do this in VB if it is possible? Or should I just make a separate set of functions that are not members of a class?

I created a control that has picture box control docked within it. This control allows me to "animate" the image by swapping them out by setting the interval to swap them at. I want to use this control kind of like an animated icon within a application, but because the picture box is docked, the control I created won't respond to the events, MouseHover specifically. i am working on a app. and i need to know how can i share floders that the app will use to save flies over the net. i was thinking about crearting a data base that would save all the files on to it , and then share the data base with fellow co workers, but i do not know how to add a excel file or word doc. in the database. i am pretty new to all of this so any help would be great. the app is writen in visual studio 2010.
basical it will let the user access the file he needs to compelte his work off shore. the files are created and saved as he needs them. once he is finished, i need the app to send the floder to some type of server ( dont have a server yet) so that the office and other co workers can see the files when they run the app.

My problem relates to executing an application located on a network share and getting various security exceptions in trying to do so. By far the greatest number of replies to this sort of problem relate to creating a new Code Group under Runtime Security Policy in the .NET Framework (v2 in this case) Configuration tool. However try as I might, and I've spent hours, trying various things with the config tool (and with caspol), I just cannot get my app to work.Still fails on things like reading command-line parameters and displaying a web page in a WebBrowser control or firing up a browser using Process.Start. In fact I've regressed to creating a VB6 version for this particular task as time is off the essence. Which works fine! As I mentioned lots of people have posted on this topic and not s few of them seem not to have resolved their issues either. So I was wondering if anyway had come up with a definitive solution for this problem which, in my case, seems to affect XP machines only? Seems to work OK on Vista, 7, 2003 Server, etc - although I haven't run exhaustive tests in these environments.

My company got a new server, with a new sever share name, etc. I also moved my project from 'My Documents' to the C: Drive. I went through all my code and replaced the old path info to the new path. Tried to publish and received errors stating my temporary key was no longer valid. I googled that error and tried a solution. I created a test certificate and the app published as expected.

Now I have finished my another really small program. I have tryed to publish in several ways but with now result. So how can I publish it easily? I will share it so I'd like to have just one "setup" file which creates the another necessary files. (or just one bigger file?) but the main thing is that I dont want to start share 4-5 files...
I get it worked on my computer, that's not a problem. But then I upploaded all of the files (4-5) to mediafire, destroyed program from my computer and downloaded those files: Program didnt worked: Sayd just "U havent downloaded all necessary files" (something like that).
Well I think it's possible also to publish to new wep site. In fact I tryed to make wep site (with www.nettisivu.org ) (finnish quite good wep-page-creater) but the same result: no results at all. If this is the easier way, how I could upload my program straight to that site?
