Showing Form2 Generates Error From Form3

I have 3 forms 1 -mainform which loads when program is open, and where you select the datafile you want to use and input default information in about 20 textboxes 2 butons 1 to each page 2 -has 3 comboboxes and about 20 textboxes worth of information pulled from the database. then 20 textboxes the user can enter values to compare against the default values coming from form1. and 20 boxes that have calculation results 2 buttons one to each page 3 -same as form2
I created a textbox font format function in form 3
When I load program and click button for form3 everything works fine, i can then click button to take me to form2 and vice versa back and forth no problem
When I load program and click button to form2 I get a date casting error from the function on form 3
Why would I even get this if i havent shown form3 yet??

if I use Application.Exit, it will close all 3 forms.. But all I want to use is Close so that every time I show the Form2, it will close the Form1 first.. the same when I show the Form3, it will close the Form2 first.

IThere's a button on the toolstip that's always enabled for form2 so they are always able to search the database.When a user is on form1 and selects the link button. They are taken to form2 to select criteria to search. On Form3 they choose 1 item in the grid andcan select the Link It button on the form to link the 2 selected grid items (form1 and form3). Since form2 and form3 are available at anytime.my problem is knowing when the Link button on form1 has been chosen and after a successful link to not allow anymore links. Technically, they could pull form2 up via the toolstrip or an existing form2 window and Link as long as Form1 is on the screen but I do not want this. It's as though I need a global variable to set to True/False.

I have three checkboxes on my datagridview namely, Yes, No, Inv. If the value is set to True in the table which populates the datagridview the respective checkbox is checked and if false unchecked.Now, when on runtime I try to check a checkbox on the Yes Column I receive the followinf error;

I'm trying to populate class properties where one property is a list collection. I get a NullReferenceException when trying to add to the list collection. The code (litlle bit simplified) is here:

I created an application with some Crystal Reports. I published the application and installed it on the machine which is my develop machine. This machine has Vista on it and is runnig the application 100%. When I install it on a different machine with windows XP, it runs fine until it tries to load the mybase.new. It generates a windows error with no description.

Last one day I could not manage to pass data from one form2 other form.
When I am opening Form2 from Form1, I can pass data from Form1 to Form2.
When I am closing Form2, I want to pass data from Form2 to Form1 which is still open when I close form2.
I try to use shared textbox, but I understand that this is nt supported.

I've got a project that uses a third party OCX. The OCX was recently updated with a new method. I'm trying to insert code that utilizes that new method:
EPS.Refresh_IO_Link(ControllerRow("ControllerPort"), ControllerRow("ControllerSettings"))
It compiles fine, but when I try to run it from within VS2010 it generates the following error:
'Refresh_IO_Link' is not a member of 'AxEPSIO.AxctlEPSIO'.
This is not true. It shows up in Intellisense, and if I do a rebuild the error goes away. However running it in debug mode always generates the error.I've tried cleaning and rebuilding the solution, but have the same error each time.

I started to create the MathQuiz and it is working good as per the provide codes. I was also able to add 'Percentage Correct Answers' and some other details.I have added a new form with some buttons and that is working as well, just simple stuff and all good fun playing with it.
But here is my challenge:When 1 or more answers are incorrect the program is opening a new form (similar to the main form) and it shows the equations again. I did that with "Correcting.lblLADD.Text = addend1", etc. in then main form. In the form 'Correcting' = Form3.Designer.vb I have tried to get the Text into a Number but nothing works for me. Also Tried to make addend1 in Form1 Public but the value does not appear in Form3. Form3 has also a Private addend1 as Integer.Even if I give addend1 in Form3 a value Form3 does not calculate.Maybe it does but I can get it to work. I have tried to get a MessageBox to show up when the answer in Form3 is correct but the MessageBox does not work either.

In my scenario when i press the "Get Book Details " of the Form1 , it will redirect to the Form2 , in the form load of Form2 a datagridview is filled with values along with the checkbox column and the desired rows of all the columns are selected and when OK button(form2) is pressed the selected rows should get populated to the datagridview of the form1.But i m not getting the selected rows to the form1t.

henever I attempt to open a form, an error has been popping up;
An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details. The error is: Index was outside the bounds of the array.
For simple code like;
formbooking.show()
Whenever I reference this form in anyway, that error pops up. I haven't done anything related to that form recently and I don't know what the problem is.

I'm having troubles with my errorprovider and i already found out what the problem is - the textbox is bounded twice (Display Member and Value have different binding sources) and so the errorprovider is showing the same error twice. If i remove one binding source,everything is fine.Any suggestions?Oh - I'm validating the columns in my DataSet.vb with DataTable_ColumnChanged Sub with table.setColumnError().Another problem ->I have a field (decimal) in my dataset that is optional (can be null). But if the user writes something in and then deletes it so that the textbox is empty, the errorprovider is showing the error "Input string was not in a correct format."

I am working on implementing cell level error indication in my app and I have it set up to where it shows the error icon correctly and I tried using the datagridview FAQ sample code to show an errortooltip as well. I can watch as I set the errortooltip to have the proper data and display control (in mousemove event), yet the second I finish my mousemove event it fires the mouseleave event and resets my tooltip before the user ever has a chance to see it.

I am using Visual Basic 2008, and SQL Server 2005. I have a single-user client-server app (i know that sounds stupid, but its for future expandibility and also the fact that documentation was easier to find for SQL server than Access files).The app is basically a medicals records system.
In one of the tables, called 'visits', it stores the dates on which each patient visits the doctor, among other things like symptoms and diagnosis. Another table stores all the patient names and IDs along with other details, and a relation has been set up between the patient ID in the patients table and the visits table. So i dragged the visits table from within the patients table (to get only the visits for that particular patient), and dragged it onto the form to make a datagridview. However, the datagridview didn't seem to recognise MS SQL server's smalldatetime format, and tried representing it as a picture. When i changed the format of the column to text boxes, it gave me a type mismatch error (Inconvertible type mismatch between SourceColumn 'VisitDate' of DateTime and the DataColumn 'VisitDate' of Byte[].) That means, for some reason, it is trying to convert the smalldatetime data to byte before it shows it, which is leading to the error. How do i fix this?
Also, I remember seeing some option for using completely custom column types in the datagridview, but i cant seem to find it now. The options in 'Edit Columns' are very limited, but i would like to set it to a masked text box, or something with a fixed format. Can someone recommend a good column type for representing dates, and how to make the datagridview show that kinda column?
