I want to write a simple program, which should inform me before any files getting open (like as User account control in Windows Vista or Windows 7). I came to know that all antiviruses use this technique to detect viruses before they are affecting the system. My program must ask me as "Are you allow this file to run?" and allow it if I allow otherwise terminate the file.

Here is her description of her setup (p.s. Revit is not my program, mine is suplementary to Revit and works with the keynote file mentioned):
I work on an iMac (Snow Leopard,) and have Revit 2012 installed in a Boot Camp partition of Windows 7, which I then run through a Parallels 6 window. I used to run Revit just through Parallels, sans Boot Camp, but this seems to work better (faster.) I do store my Revit files in the Mac OS, but the keynote file is in Windows 7. Obviously this is a non-standard setup, but it is causing the FileSystemWatcher to fail. Is anyone familiar with this or know why it's failing or if it can be fixed?
I am using FileSystemWatcher in order renaming files within a Watched directory.The problem occurs if the number of files copied simultaneously to the watched directory exceeds the number of 50...The rename event is fired successfully for the first 50 files, but after that nothing happens?

Now my problem is, once the path is not available it mean the shared path server going to offline, then my application not intimate me.

i am developing a system will be able to detect motion. up to now i am able to stream the video that is connected to my PC to VB.NET. Now i want to switch between the webcam if there is more than one webcam connected to the system. For example, the user of the system will be able to chose any webcam that is connected to the system. I am able to detect all the webcam and display those devices into a ListView. But i don't know how to change the steaming video when the user select the device. Now the video screen show the image form the default webcam.

1: Scan specific parts of registry and look for key names that match with a List of Publishers. The list is manually maintained.
2: Scan the hard disk for and do same as in step 1
3: run the program in background and check for programs in memory that use a large portion of memory(which games always do) and if they use Direct X ( Which all games do except for some) then its a game.
Now i have been thinking about it and first and second method seems to be in need of a updated database ie list of publishers to make out if a particular program is game.

So let's say I am running windows XP, the program detects it, and with a simple if then' statement it opens form2, if i was running vista, it would open form1. I am using VS 2008, Office 2007, and Win7 Home Premium on my system.I have a simple application which should be a breeze to build. All I am attempting to do is pull data from an Access database with four small tables into a data grid on a windows project. Should be simple, set up the data connection, choose a datagrid from the table in the data source view, drag it onto the page and done, right?I can't get it to work. It will all work fine until I attempt to run or debug the project. The data will not show up. The data grid does, but I get this error: A first chance exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException' occurred in System.Data.dll
As I said, the project seems to build fine, but it will not pull the data. After the initial build I get the message that Windows will show this page in Compatibility View. Is it something with Win7 Home Premium, or a setting somewhere?
I have a utility that is a simple exe that is not installed compiled with VS2005 and works well. But when I upgraded to VS2008 the utility can no longer locate files in the active system folder. I have UAC turned off and am logged in as the Administrator and it still can not locate a file that I can see in Windows Explorer. The file I am looking for is PakMgr.exe.
