I'm working on this big project in MVC ASP.NET w VB.NET One of my views is getting me headaches since a few and i'm not sure what's up. I've used the Begin.Form and Html.Encode methods alot in my other views and i never had any problems. Now this new Create.aspx view for one of my object called Automation is giving me multiple build errors such as those cited in the title plus
Error 184 'Context' is not a member of
'ASP.views_automatisation_create_aspx'.
BeginForm is not a member of 'Html'

When I make an HTML form for MVC 3/VB with the Razor engine, I would expect to be able to do it like this:
@Using Html.BeginForm("Action", "Controller")
<fieldset>
@* Other form code and values *@
</fieldset>
End Using
But if I do that I get "BC32035: Attribute specifier is not a complete statement. Use a line continuation to apply the attribute to the following statement." I need to add an @ character before the opening tag to avoid this error.

In the following code i get a warning at line 59:Warning 1: Access of shared member, constant member, enum member or nested type through an instance; qualifying expression will not be evaluated.and.. At line 78 I get this Warning:
Warning 2 Property 'SelectedCustomer' doesn't return a value on all code paths. A null reference exception could occur at run time when the result is used.
The program compiles and runs well, but i cant' undesrtand the reason for these warnings. Any Idea ?

I've a simple class like this:

In a workflow activity, I've an Assign like this:

Where tariffDetial.TariffId = calculationParameter.TariffId).FirstOrDefault()
Dto is passed to Activity as an Input Argument.It raise following error and I'm wondering how to assign Id.LINQ to Entities does not recognize the method 'Int64
GetValue[Int64](System.Activities.LocationReference)' method, and this method cannot be translated into a store expression.
How can I assign the calculationParameter.TariffId to tariffDetial.TariffId?!
UPDATE:Screen shot attached shows that how I'm trying to assign calculationParameter.TariffId to tariffDetail.TariffId (car.Id = Dto.Id) and the query result should assign to CurrentTrafficDetail object.

I am trying to write a LINQ equivalent of
SELECT C1, C2, C3
FROM T1
WHERE T1.C4='xyz' AND

I'm using EF CTP 5, so I have a DBContext variable named dbc, which includes DBSet objects T1s and T2s, based on POCOs T1 and T2.
In LINQ I write
DIM IND = From i In dbc.T1s
Where i.C4 = "xyz"
And (From t In dbc.T2s Where i.C17 = t.C24).Any
Select i.C1, i.C2, i.C3
Order By C3
Running the query I get the error message "Unable to create a constant value of type 'T2'. Only primitive types ('such as Int32, String, and Guid') are supported in this context." When I omit the inner expression (third line in the LINQ code), the query runs fine. I tried switching the orders of the inner comparison, to be t.C24 = i.C17, with no effect.

The only thing I have found is that you can get all computers in ObjectBase by writing context.ObjectBase.OfType(Of Computer), and that does not help since you cannot write context.BorrowObjects.ObjectBase.OfType(Of Computer) code samples in VB.NET (if you can), but more importantly: Please ensure that the codesamples you supply work without hours of modification!

I have this code working. It sets the Visible property of controlToSecure to False. [Code] However I would like to get rid of hardcoding types of properties. In this case i'm hardcoding Boolean. Instead I would like to define the property type dynamically. I tried it like below but I get an error on line 2 "Type property Type is not defined".
