Using VB 2008 Express To Generate An .exe?

I created a project using Visual Studio 2008 Express and I use the Menu tool called Build. There are two selection for the express (Build and Publish).I used the Build and found an .exe in the "bin" folder and the "Debug" subfolder. I am able to double click this .exe file and the program executes.
If I move this .exe file to 2 levels up on the directory, the .exe starts with my (modal form) and then it hangs. how I can make an .exe file that would execute in a different level?

Recently I implemented an interface which had some 130 members that i should implement (C#, but i think thats irrelevant).How can i generate the stubs for all those automatically, in VS 2008...If its not possible in VS 2008, i've also installed Coderush Express, can some one guide me on how to do that with CR Express ?

My project is a server/client application, how do I copy existing panel with labels and pictureboxes to show stats of clients connected? I mean once the server accepts a client, stats of that client is shown on a new panel but has the same contents as the existing panel. Any Idea how to do this? I was thinking to make a set of panels and hide them if there's no client connecting but what if there are too many clients connecting more than the set of panels already made?

We use VB to create an HMI for an industrial environment. Currently, the computer we use has VB2005 Express Edition installed. When the application is developed, we take the Release folder which contains 7 files and place in on the computer with a shortcut to the executable.My boss stumbled upon another integrator that has a single executable. They apparently can stick this executable on any computer and it will run. He says that the "visual basic runtime" is included in the executable and it "just runs".I know just enough about VB to do what I need to do and am not overly familiar with all the inner workings. I seem to recall VB5 & 6 having a single executable as long as the runtime was installed already.Does VB2005 have the capability of a single executable?

how I can implement my calendar with VB .net express 2008 and MSSQL 2008 Express. How do I get it to work with datasets, binding source etc.If I go to Properties>settings my connection string is:
Data Source=.SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|CalendarDatabase.mdf;Integrated Security=True;Connect Timeout=30;User Instance=True
and I have a table with fields:-
CalendarID

I can Add the event to the calendar I have the necessary items on my form linked to my table and I can save them to my table:

Me.TableAdapterManager.UpdateAll(Me.CalendarDatabaseDataSet)
But I cant keep the event displayed on my calendar when I close it and open it again.

I'm just using the default SQL Server Express in my vb 2008 express edition as my database server for my database operation. When I tried to update the records on my table I got a runtime error which indicates the error on this line 'myCommand.ExecuteNonQuery()'and it highlights a yellow background on it. The runtime error says "SqlException was unhandled: An expression of non-boolean type specified in a context where a condition is expected, near 'Number'. ".

I tried to start using VB 2010 Express with a program I originally developed with VB 2005 Express that I moved to VB 2008 Express successfully a couple years ago. It uses a database file (*.mdf) that is on the computer ( not out on a server). When attempt to run the program in debug mode, I get the following error "An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file C:Documents and SettingsTomMy DocumentsQuizzing StuffQuestion Database 2010QuizQuest ionGameQuizQuestionGameinReleaseQuizQuestionDB.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share."
I first made a copy of the entire project folder that was working in VB 2008 Express and gave it a different name. In VB2010 I opened the project in the copied folder and it said it successfully converted the project. I am able to open the Data Source inthe Designer and see the database structure as I expect. I think the project is still using SQL Server 2005 Express (because it is what is checked in the list of prerequisites on the Publish tab).
Note, I have programmed off and on for many years, but fairly new to using databases and SQL Server.

Here is the scoop: I am trying to make a user account SQL database work with Visual Basic 2008 Express for login purposes, i.e. usernames & passwords. Plan is to host this server so people can login to use the the application and verify they have a valid account. I would like to host all the account information in SQL due to the possiblity of hundreds of users at any given time. I also need the ability to add data to the database for users registering for the first time. The SQL server will need to be able to access the SQL Server databases remote via WAN.

I am trying to re write a VB6 program using MS Access, many years ago, using VB 2010 express and SQL server 2008 R2 Express. I have a database with several tables, which I created using the designer. I am able to connect to the database and select data and display it in textboxes etc in vb code. What I have not been able to in code is to INSERT rows DELETE rows or UPDATE any data in the tables. I can do any of these operations using the Query Designer, but I want to do it in code. I can post some code if necessiary, but I thought it might just be some property that I had not set in the designer.

I have SQL 2008 Express and Visual Basic 2008 Express runing on XP Professional SP2. When I select add new data source from VB I don't have the option to connect to SQL Server 2008 express to get at the to SQL Server Database. I also notice that the OLE DB connector is not availble as a data connector. Can somebody please confirm that VB 2008 Express can connect directly to SQL Server 2008 Express and how I can achieve it.

basicaly i'm on a project which involves generating programs on the fly from a website, these programs will have the ids of the logged in users.To do this, I found a little trick, which is having a vb.net program running on my windows server communication with my website's database and generating another executable then send it back to the client.Anyway this is just some boring introduction, basically my question is how can I generate an executable from my vb.net executable?

You see three buttons which all contains a one digit number (1, 2 and 3) at the start of running a program. There is one other button stating "Randomize" and when you hit this randomize button all the three buttons that were first containing 1, 2 and 3 are now shuffled in a random order like 2, 3 and 1. Create a GeneratedNumber application that stores in an array with indexes 1 through 100 numbers generated by the index values when Generate is clicked. Generate the number to be stored at each index by summing the index and it's individual digits. For example, 25 should be stored at index 17 because 17+ 1+ 7 = 17 and 4 should be stored at index 2 because 2+ 0 + 2.
Your program should use a FillArray() procedure to generate the nuymbers and DisplayArray() procedure that displays each index and its element in the list box.

I want to automatically generate VB.NET forms using tables from a SQL Server database (one form / database table). I'm trying to generate a pivot table in Excel using VB.NET 2008. I need to bring the data into one tab, and then generate a Pivot on another (i can't do this externally because the data is pulled from a bunch of different places). Currently I'm doing this pivot in the actual code, and then writing to Excel, but it takes up a lot of resource and time and this will make things much easier! I created a sample list below, and I am trying to generate a sample pivot table based on it, but I'm getting errors:
