I'm making a program where you must login with username and password.
These things are located in mysql server on my website (remote).
But it always gives me the error : wasn't able to connect to any of the speciefied mysqlhosts.

Just got a mySql database up and running (about 3 weeks ago) and it's working fine for web pages with PHP, but wanted to see if I could access it from Visual Basic (why not right). So I downloaded whats needed to get the MySqlConnection working and Been looking around online and nothing is very intuitive as to what the problem is. The error message is:

I'm connecting to my mysql server using ODBC in vb.net, the database is shared throughout the company because it is used in an accounting program (simply accounting), each user has their own account user/pass to login to the database. I have developped a program that uses the accounting database and combines it with other information, my problem is that at least once a day I get this error when I run my program: "(10061) ERROR [HY000] [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Can't connect to MySQL server on"and the error persists for at least 4 hours, for some reason it starts to work again later on in the day.

I made an app that connects to a mysql database to update a table. It works fine from my test machine, but if i deploy the app to another computer I get error: Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'MySql.Data, Version=6.3.6.0 I'm going through google to find a solution, but nothing has stood out yet, just wondered if anyone has encountered this before and knows of a quick fix.

The Form Designer in the IDE is no longer working properly. When I create a new project, the Form Designer will work, but after I save it and close the IDE and reopen the next day the Form Designer no longer shows the form and instead says "To prevent possible data loss before loading the designer, the following errors must be resolved: An Error occurred while parsing EntityName.Line 2, position 62" If I click ignore and continue, then it just displays a blank form with no controls. The problem appears to have started after I unistalled and reinstalled VB2008 Express.

Im creating a service for a mobile platform and I need to process user messages on a different thread than they were created on to leave the threadpool open.Anyway my App will be using a MySQL database and when it gets a message it will add the message to Another thread pool. But in the sub that procceses the messages I will need to perform query's on the database. So i know i can use a global variable and it will be visible to all threads but is making database operations safe while using a thread pool with a global mysqlconnection?
