Mar 18, 2009I found these files code on CodeGuru and tried to add the code to a .net project but i got to many errors to debug.
I am not sure but i think it is VB6 perhaps.

I am not allowed to bring this to a newer version of the gramework until next year. We are moving from XP to Windows 7, and we have identified an issue with how the column sort image (up/down arrow) is drawn to the listview. Currently in XP, the image is drawn to the right of the column's text. However, in Windows 7, I am getting Access Violation Exceptions. Now, I know that the error is with the improper handling of memory using the unmanaged code as shown below. I am looking for a method to mimic what we have below in a safe manner using managed code.

Feb 21, 2011I am creating a datatable and then adding a column to it which is filled with data from existing column and parsed into correct format DateSold is my existing column from my datafile and I create NewDateSold by adding the column to the existing table and then parsing the information in date format.
This is added to a binding source which then is used to populate a combobox I want to be able to sort the combo box by NewDateSold Desc I was able to this on the original column by simply using the "order By" in my query, it seems now that I added new column it is no longer sorted? In a DataGridView I want to capture the value of the row's key column so that when the user clicks on a column header to sort the data, I can reposition to the row that was selected prior to the click. Jan 27, 2011I have a column of data in my text file datafile coming over as a string value 06/05/2011 12:00:00 AM opened in notepad all my fields are in quotes. "06/05/2011 12:00:00 AM"If I open the file in excel it displays 06/05/2011 0:00 If i then save that file back into excel it removes the quotes 06/05/2011 0:00 If I open the excel saved version my schema file will read the date as a date But If I open the version that has the quotes "06/05/2011 12:00:00 AM" and manipulate the string to "06/05/2011 0:00" and try to parse the column I get error string not recognized as valid date time

Feb 13, 2012It seems that on clicking datagridview column header, the column will be automatically sorted based on the column type. I have a column showing some numbers. If column type is string, it sorts "1","20","3" into "1","20","3". If column type is double, it sorts into "1","3","20" which is the result that I want. However, there might be some erros in the numbers and error messages(text) will show in the cell instead of numbers. So I cannot set the column type as double. I want to ignore these error messages and sort all the numbers. How can I do this?
Also, I need to add some background colors to different rows in datagridview. So in the column header click event, I call the bkgColor Sub to achieve this. My question is that how can I override the sorting method in this event?
