Dec 18, 2009I published my application using click once and created a zip file that I put on CD. (One folder with 3 files, another 2 files and a setup file were output).I then unzipped on my spare XP service pack 2 PC.Clicked setup, agreed to the license agreement and then I get....An error occured downloading the following resource:(That link will take you to the microsoft search page).Also, when I install this application it will be on PC's that WILL NOT have internet access.

Nov 8, 2010I am trying to download a file off my web server (easy) but the file its downloading is the updated version of the file running. I finally was able to program my automatic update software the program simply downloads a .txt file from my web server, reads it, and if the the version = (new version here) then download. If not, then go to another form. The problem I am getting though, is when the version is outdated, the file will go to download the new .exe and it gets and error saying "File already exists"

Sep 20, 2009I've got a code in VB that will download a txt file from a website. The problem is I want this file to be downloaded into whatever folder that my program is in. for example, if my program was in C:
andom_folder then I would want this txt file downloaded to C:
andom_folder
Here is some of my

But in the spot to put where to place the file, I can't just put C:andom_folder because individual users may have this program installed in other parts of there computer.

Downloading File Without Extension?
Jan 17, 2010I'm trying to save this picture from a website automatically, but the problem is there is no file extension. I tried the following code, but it always gives me an error:

P.S - I believe the reason it doesn't have an extension is because the picture changes each time the url is loaded (probably through a php code). I'm not too sure on the specifics, but the lack of an extension is what I am having problems with.

Which works ok.However, now I have to download many and the number of files to download will change everyday.I am not sure how I can get the web client to know which files have been downloaded or not? I was thinking of using a for loop to download each file. But I will never know how many there are to download?The web client could download the same file twice?

Jun 16, 2009I am trying to download a zip file(which contains 4 text files) from a secure website and getting html page in return. If I do it manually I get the zip file. I am using visual basic express. I am very new to .net programing. why I am getting html page instead of the zip file. The manual process is to login, click ebill tab and select the month from list and click download button, which then open up the save dialog box with the zip file name.
