I have a combobox1 that contains a list of folder paths that i created using the create folder button click event....Now on selecting any of the files from the combobox1 dropdown list,and entering the name of the .txt file in combobox2.....i want the file to be created in the above selected folder.......

Having difficulty with the module below failing on line 21. It is telling me: The system cannot find the file specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002) Basically what it is designed to do is look for a directory, if that exists then look for a file in that directory. If both = True then it should open the folder to browse the files. I believe the issue is with the "Program Files" being 2 words since the script runs using a root path, but I'm not sure how to format the path correctly to make it work?

It will be similar to Microsoft's SyncToy but it will have much more flexibility and "group" backup options etc.I am using VB.Net 2010 to write the program. The problem I need help with is the efficient comparing of a source file to the destination file when the only difference between a file is the name. (Working on the "Contribute" method of syncing a folder")In other words if I have a backup folder with a bunch of backed up files and folders from a master source folder and I change the name of one of the files in the master folder, but do nothing else to it, how can I tell that the renamed file is the same as the original named file in the destination folder. In this scenario I would want to rename the destination file to the new name it was given in the master folder instead of just copying the renamed file to the back up folder and ending up with duplicate files of different names needlessly.

I have the names being displayed on a listbox, so far everything is working just the way I expected to work.When a file is selected from my opendialogbox, the file gets saved into a folder under my local disk, so far so good.The problem that I am having is deleting the file from the folder.I have added a delete button and I would like to when I click or highlight one of the file names to go into where the file was saved previously and deleted This is the code that I have for the delete funtion:

The problem is that if I add the code to the clcik event under the listbox, it works great, but if I add the code to the click event under my delete button, it doesn't work, what I found is that under the path, if I am under the click event from the listbox when it gets to the lisxtbox.text it displays the file name, which is what I whant, but when i tried the code under the click event under my delete button the listbox.text is blank.
