I am creating an interface with several textboxes and HTML component and several buttons.But when I drag any textbox onto the existing form they line up vertically one under the another or they attach directly together on the same row. I want to be able to drag and drop and place these as well as the HTML component wherever I need on the form. In VB6 I simply selected what I needed and placed it with ease. Now that I'm retired I can't afford "Pro" and cannot find the component than looks like this (see above). Is/was that component left out of the "Express" version? Do I have to "load" it (and, if so, what name should I look for)? The user chooses this data themselves.I plan on saving this data in the application settings or via xml serialization.What I want to do, is allow users to generate a unique code for that data so that they can supply this code to others and all they will have to do is copy and paste it into their client and that data will populate for them.I could just allow users to trade XML files, but I want it to be easier than that.The form is basically setup this way;

The pictures correlate to pictures that are numbered anywhere from 0-600. The data can be any integer value from 0 - 200.
The editor basically uses a bunch of labels and pictureboxes (for now) and then an image is created from the panel which contains all of the controls.It sounds quite confusing, but basically i'm trying to create something like visual studio itself, which will allow "controls" to be added onto a panel, and then everything can be exported as an image when the user chooses to.I've worked out all the code to move controls and exporting the image, just having trouble trying to work out how to add an event for newly created controls as you can only handle a control, and not a variable.

I've got a TEXTBOX called CompanyName. And I've got a warning in the error tab that says:
WithEvents variable 'CompanyName' conflicts with property 'CompanyName' in the base class 'Control' and should be declared 'Shadows'.
Is CompanyName some kind of reserved keyword? I'm getting the same error for a textbox called Location. Can I ignore these warnings or must I rename my textboxes. My problem is the textboxes are named to match columns in a DB TABLE to allow me to do some auto-binding logic.

EDIT 1: Following Mr. JaredPar instructions, I figured that his solution might work. If we take the time to read his answer, we may notice that we both don't know what the MType is within his solution. I might have found out that the MType is:

The error I get is that my Address class doesn't have a property member named Street, for instance. It sees my Address type, it recognizes it, but it seems buggy somehow. I guess VBNET is poorly designed for lambda expressions and is less evolved than C#?

I have been asked to add some functionality to an application which will require Microsoft Word. The new work needs to allow the users to create .dot files and perform mail merge operations. I have gone down the road of using the dsoframer component in the past and would prefer to avoid it if possible.

I have noticed that the controls I have looked at seem to be viewer controls allowing read only operations which is not good enough for this task.

View 1 RepliesMy app is a classic vb6 app. I have distilled my problem down to fact that an activeX control can't be registered on Win 2008 64 Bit using Regsvr32 but can be registered on Win 2008 32 bit and on Windows 7, Vista, XP/Pro, Win 2000 etc. The classic vb6 app works well on every Microsoft platform except Win 2008 64 Bit. Some Win 2008 64 Bit systems seem to work and we're not sure why, but many don't. The application fails with 429 error when run and when you try to manually register the activex component using regsvr32, the registration process hangs with this result[code]...
