I know that hooks are programmed with C++.
I would like to know some stuff here:
1) When dll is injected how can u activate a function?
2) What is a class exactly in a dll?
3) Can you design a class?
I know it is possible with C#, C++, VB 6 but i'm not sure about VB.net 2008, i have looked around to see if it is possible but have not found a way. There isn't a specific reason i need to know, just curious... So, is it possible with vb.net, if so how? CreateRemoteThread?
View 30 RepliesThe error it has is that when one of the text boxes is changed the code changes all of them triggering every single function to activate. Is there a simpler solution other then recoding it from the start? also each different Private Sub is identical basically.

I know the code is very brute forced & sloppy but its the only way i really know how to do it.
I got some spare time, and want to use it to expand my knowledge. I remember Dll injection as a thing I always wanted to try, so I started there. I have successfully (it says) injected the dll(I made in vs2010 vb.net) into my exe - also made in vs2010 vb.net. But nothing happens. I think I need to call it somehow, but I have not managed to find a good site to explain me this, so I need to ask here:)I have tried to make a function in the dll with a msgbox saying "hi", but nothing shows up. So I try to make the main exe say "hi" like this:Removed and the injected dll is coded like this:Removed but it doesn't seem to overwrite it.

I'm having an issue with Castle Windsor 3 Beta 1. I'm using the ArrayResolver which has been added to the installer like so:objContainer.Kernel.Resolver.AddSubResolver(New ArrayResolver(objContainer.Kernel, True))
From there I am registering a component and trying to inject an array of IWorkers. The IWorkers have their own dependencies. In the case where only one IWorker is specified, its dependencies are resolved- but when multiple are passed in this does not happen.

I use the "NodeMouseClick" event to activate my sub function when I select a single node. But the event occurs also when I click on the "plus" simbol NEAR the node, to open it.Is it possible to activate the event only when I click on a node and not when I open it?I hope to have well explained my problem.

I was making a program where it takes text from a textbox on one form, and places into a textbox on another form. If the first text I am taking says "test" Then the buttons code would be:
Form2.TextBox1.Text = Me.TextBox1.Text
This works, however, if there were two textboxes in the first form, and I wanted this:
Form2.TextBox1.Text = Me.TextBox1.Text
Form2.TextBox1.Text = Me.TextBox2.Text
- this would not work because one of them will override. I wanted to know how I could send a key into the form just once. I have tried this:

View 1 RepliesI have a program where the main form is called (shown/activated) via a keystroke combination. When the form pops-up, I've set the focus to a textbox to begin typing right away.
When the keystroke event occurs, I have:Me.Activate()And in the Form_Activated event:
Textbox1.Focus() Simple right? It works the way I want it to, even after I've compiled and run the EXE, but ONLY if Visual Studio 2008 is running. Once I close my project in VS, with the program still running outside VS, the form is shown, but input focus is not set to the textbox.
Input focus is however still set to whatever it was previously, like a word document for example. My form will be topmost, but if I attempt to input text, it would still be entered into the word doc. why having my projects' source open in VS has anything to do with running the compiled EXE of said program?
I've even tried API calls to SetForegroundWindow and ShowWindow with the same result.
I would like to ask how I can select an Excel worksheet via code in vb. I looked but I only came across something like the below:

I have a question... I recently came across a program called WPE Pro (Winsock Packet Editor Pro). Basically what it does is lets you sniff, edit and send packets intercepted from a process. Thats the key word here PROCESS. From what I can tell WPE uses DLL injection to sniff and inject packets directly into an active socket connection on the target process. What I want to know is how would I go about achieving this? If it isn't possible with the .NET language, is it possible to goto C++ or something?

I need a method of allowing the user to decide which (predefined) column they want to query (and if necessary apply string functions to). The query itself is far too complex for the user to write themselves, nor do they have access to the db. There are 1000's of users with varying requirements and I need to remain as flexible as possible - I shouldn't have to revisit the code unless the main query needs to change - Also, there is no way of knowing what conditions the user will need to use

Its a app that calls out to an external exe to produce some output files, then processes those output files afterwards.I have built an interface to the exe, which I have created a stub implementation and the real implementation, what I would like to be able to do is use nant to either create a DEBUG build of the app, which calls the stub implementation, or create a PROD build of the app which will use the correct implementation.
