Get All The Words / Items In The Listbox To Go Into A Textbox
Feb 4, 2011i need to get ALL the words/items in the listbox to go INTO a textbox... i know how to do it the opposite way with lstbox1.items.add(txtbox1.text) - etc.... but it need to figure out how to make it go from LISTBOX to TEXTBOX. i've already tried stuff like "txtbox1.text = lstbox1.text" - that doesnt work, i've also tried "txtbox1.text = lstbox1.items", and just stuff like that, i've probably tried like 10 different things but none of them work im using VB 2008 Express Edition

So, if the First item in the listbox contained "Http%$$" then how would I change that to "Http:" without affecting the rest of the text in the item

abc is a search engine and also abc a search engine.
to
google is a search engine and also yahoo a search engine.
I tried this.

Jan 27, 2010I have a textbox which has about 120 lines of text but this can vary. I want to search for an array of words, like Boeing, Airbus, Saab etc there might be 3 options there might be 5 options in this array that i'm looking for. My question is how can I search the textbox and highlight all these words? Similar to (Control + F) in IE8. I've looked at InStr but am unsure if this is what I'm after as it does not seem to work for me.

For example, if I search "cute puppy" right now, it will search it for "cute puppy" as phrase and won't match just "cute" and "puppy". The way the search is implemented is by passing a search phrase to a Stored Procedure in SQL Server.So now, I need to change to site search so when "cute puppy" is searched, it will search two words.... Listbox Items Colour - Two Types Of Items Populating In A Listbox (checked Listbox)
Apr 28, 2009I am using VB.NET (version 2008). I have two types of items populating in a listbox (checked listbox). For example: lets say one is type "A" and other is "Type B". Their names maybe same so if the user sees those items in listbox then he won;t be able to determine their type until he click on them and checks out its properties. I wanted that I add each item to listbox and colour them so that blue for example means type "A" is there and red means the other. So this way I will be able to know at a glance that how many item of what type is present. I guess it may not be possible to do that in a standard checkedlistbox. I am also using component factory's krypton controls which enhance the gui of an application. But I dunno if I can progress using that.

This works to some degree but a word like "Mommy" becomes "Momyour". Or "mean" becomes "youan" How can I do this with full words only? I've tried putting spaces before and after within the quotes, but then any of the words that need changed at the beginning of a paragraph, don't change because there is no space at the beginning.

Asp.net - Search Database By Using An Array Of Words?
Dec 6, 2011I'm attempting to setup a search function from a string a user types. (ex: "John Doe" or "Doe, John") I was thinking I would use Replace(SearchString, ",", "") to get rid of the commas the user might enter, and then use Split(SearchString, " ") to get all the words into an array. Once they're in the array I would execute a Stored Procedure on each of the terms and build a DataTable with the results.
Below is what I'm wanting to use for executing my stored procedure.
