It also produces really horrible icons. Is there a better way to convert them, or more accurately, what is the better way to convert them?

Feb 16, 2009I'm trying to code an 'increase' button to prompt a user to input a rate by which to increase select prices in an array.It should request the increased rate, then request a number from one to five, representing which price in the array to increase.Then, if 'increase' button is selected again and another number from one to five is chosen, then that element should be increased.It's working, but all the numbers in the array are changed. And, when I hit the increase button again, the array is repopulated below the first price increases instead of only replacing the designated price.

C# - Quality Of TFS 2008 Merged Code
Oct 26, 2009Does the quality of code merged by TFS 2008 depend on the used programming language? I know merging in Java / Subversion, and merging a branch to its trunk usually does not create much conflicts. Now in my company, we use VB.NET. When I merge two files TFS does not always get code blocks right, e.g. does not find the right If..then / end if lines. To give you an example, I mean: File 2 is created as a branch of File 1. Both files were changed later, now I'm going to merge those files and am recieving conficts: The marked end-if lines (1) are detected as corresponding, meaning the added event handler Button1_Click is being deleted.
Now I wonder if this behavior is by language (C# vs. VB.NET) or are other source control solutions just better than TFS? (And I really liked TFS up to now :) )

VS 2008 - Zedgraph Quality Inside PDF Depend On PageSize A4 Rotate

My Question
THe following Code will make a Graph, create a Bitmap, and start Adobe-Reade to present the Graph inside. The whole code works fine. I only have trouble, when I use this line:

Instead of this line:
Dim Doc As New iTextSharp.text.Document(iTextSharp.text.PageSize.A4, 10, 10, 10, 10)
The quality of of the whole Picture is not good then. Eventhough when I change width and hight for the Rectangle. Then I tried to change the Bitmap width and hight, but in that case nothing happends? Any way, to handle the quality for using why nothing happens, when I change height or width in this line:

Aug 10, 2009i am trying to complete a project. My task is to read large TXT files (300 files, 2.2 GB in total) read the customers inside, perform some data calculation and write each customer data to a separate txt file.
I made a code in VB6, it runs fine, however it takes 8 days to run on a quadcore processor, utilizing 20-30% of the CPU. Now I upgraded the code and am running on VB.NET 2008, the latest version. The speed still remains the same, and the CPU usage is also about the same.
Anyway I can make this process faster. I have a quadcore PC with 8GB of ram, possible to maybe make VB utilize all the CPU say 100%? so it executes atleast 2 to 3 times faster.

I have it automatically determining the correct font size of the text so that it will stretch from the left edge to the right edge, but the barcode isn't very wide (or tall), It's only about a centimeter tall (when printing a 9-digit number).

Jan 7, 2010this is what I want it to do. On the label, I put a little image (a question mark icon). When hovered, a bigger image would appear. But the problem is, some other "labels" is going on top of the bigger image. And also, the bigger image, gets cropped when it reaches the border of "groupbox"

now here is the weird part. When I save the image the filesize INCREASES..but the picture dimensions are the same Example... TEST.PNG 1.3KB, when opened up via picturebox/saved the image is now 2.3KB
not sure why...i even though I specify system.drawing.imaging.imageformat.PNG
samething with JPG... it actually SHRINKS it evenmore.. example 88KB jpeg.. saved as jpeg is now 47.7KB...

VS 2008 Loading Few Icons To The Toolstrip?
Mar 24, 2011I have a base form which has toolstrip. I am loading few icons to the toolstrip through the code as given below

This code is in the form load event of the base form.
At the design time the images are displayed in the form.
The problem is in the inherited form. The inherited form is not loaded in the designer window. It gives the following error.
The service System.Windows.Forms.Design.IEventHandlerService already exists in the service container. Parameter name: serviceType
Some times it says it cannot find the image in the installation path of Visual studio.
If I remove the icons loading in the base form it works fine.

Jul 24, 2009I was able to extract icons from the current running processes and then put them into a ListView.
I am trying to do the same with files in a specified directory:
vb.net

When I use this code, I get an error stating: "'MainModule' is not a member of 'System.IO.FileInfo'." If I remove the very first line of the sub that specifies the directory, that error obviously goes away.
So, is there another method of extracting the icon? Or must I declare the directory in another way?
I'm getting ready to check MSDN to see if I can something withing the FileInfo Class,
