Say i have a text file and i right click it on desktop you can go to the option i think its Send to then there is many options like Send in an email and stuff but how would i get it so if there is an IP any where i can right click it and click send to/open with(i dont know which it is) to open my program renlauncher then putting the Ip in the ip textbox. I have a filter that is used to populate a grid view and the url will conain: /example/grid?value1=1&value2=2
It will then have a link to page 2, which allows them to edit something.I then want them to click a link that will send them back to the gridview under the same parameters of: /example/grid?value1=1&value2=2
Is this possible? How do I hold on and fill in the URL values so it knows how to refill the grid view accordingly?

Is here way to make a program to send a click from PC to the iphone? So basically, what I want is when I click key �a� on my keyboard my iphone receives a click on button �a� on phone�s keyboard (lets say I know coordinates). This way I can use a key board for typing on my iphone
Something similar to this is already done, it�s called Veency, when you can control your iphone clicks by your mouse from a pc or Mac.
Veency uses wi-fi for the connection but it would be better if my program used USB port.

View 3 Replieshow do you send a mouse click to a window that seem to not accept them? I have tried sendmessage/postmessage, mouse_event and sendinput. None of them seem to work. Whenever the target window is in the foreground, i cant set the cursor position or do mouse_event click at all. But once it went to the back, everything works... cursor.position moves the mouse, sendinput and mouse_event can click on a different window, just not the one i want.

Oh ya I cant use WinSock or whatever becuase im using Windows Vista 64 Bit. I need it because I for some reason cant use printer sharing. View 8 RepliesWhat I need to know is if there is a way to combine forms. What I mean is, that when the program is open there is only 1 item on the toolbar instead of multiple shown on the toolbar. For example, I open the main app. and click on notes. The notes would open another form, but I wouldn't want another item on the toolbar, just the main 1, and if the X is pressed on the second form, it should just close that form, not the whole program. I mainly want this so that all the forms will minimize at once... and won't have the extra clutter of all the forms having a separate item added to the toolbar. So simply, I want 1 main form shown on the toolbar and when multiple forms are opened from the same project, it doesn't add to the toolbar and just keeps the one main tool bar.

View 4 RepliesI am having a funny problem with OpenFileDialog that I just cannot solve. Using VB.NET 2008 Pro.
Problem: I run my program and click the menu item associated with this OFD and the OFD opens fine. When I select a file and click OPEN the dialog disappears then reappears. I click OPEN again and it disposes itself then loads the proper file into a form. The same thing happens with the CANCEL button as well.
Question: How do I go about coding the OFD to open a file that has been double clicked on thus bypassing dialogresult.OK . I can't seem to find an answer to this.
im having a slight problem with my open file dialogue box, i need to be able to open the dialgue box, and click the file and open in my pdf reader, or at least load it to my other form ive created. what ive go so far:

Now as you can see it is sending the textbox1 text and then pressing enter then sending textbox2 text! Theres quite a few problems in that but before i discuss note: This code is in a Timer. Problem #1: It does not send the keys fully correct all the time because its trying to send them all at once! So i want it to send them 1 letter after the other with 200 ms sleep in them! Problem #2: The sleep is not working: The reason i know is because even after it did the first textbox1 text it didnt wait that 2000 ms!

My question is: How can I get the data from the main window into this click event sub??

Then I set the cursor location to a specific point. Fortunately, the last step of this process is to send a left mouse click but the code below occurs with an exception and does not execute:

I'm a total noob to website development and I'm trying to send data by a HTTP POST to an already opened website, let me explain:
I have a website, that it's being called from another website (that I'm not developing) into a new window, my website performs a query and gets the data that has to be sent back. I need to know if my website can send the data to the already open website that called mine, or do I have to send the data to a new window.
I want to make a simple program where I can click a button and it send various commands to my VPS server through SSH. I have had an extensive search online but the SSH Components range from $200-$500 which is far to expensive for what I want to do. I was just wondering if anyone knows any other free alternatives. Or maybe has seen a free SSH Component. I am very well aware that free clients exist like putty but would very much like to incoperate it into my own program to be automated.

I noticed when I send bitmap over a stream I have to close the stream where I sent it from in order to get it on the other end. Is there any way I can keep the stream open and send images and strings, or any other way of doing that? View 4 RepliesI'm developing an application with Visual Studio 2008 (with visual basic), first of all, I'll give a brief of what I'm planning this module will do.
It's an accounting application, that I use to administrate some of my company's movemets. The application links directly with MS SQL server 2005, and sends queries to the database like: client name, employee Id, transacion type etc. Right now I'm developing a contracts module, wich is intended to be used with Microsoft Word 2007. We want the module to do the following: (It's a contract document; the document should get the variables from the application like contract type [that would change the template of contract used in microsoft word depending on the type], Client name, Salesman name, today's date, name of the company's representative)
1) After the data has been captured from the application (the application has a capture module that sends the info to the database), instantly send the capturer to microsoft Word, to a layout that has variable fields that should fill themselves with the database information ( I don't have a clue on how to do that )
2) The capturer should be able to change text in the contract layout and fix the variables info in case they were misstyped, adn when he/she saves the document; if there were any variables edited, they should get updated in the database; and the application should be saved with a name that has variables on its name ( 1)today's date in DDMMYY format, 2)First 2 letters of the client's name, 3)last 3 digits from tye contract number), save the file in a directory where all contracts are in .docx format (could use any frmat, it actually doesn't matters), and send the file location to the databse; to a table field named "file" wich only has the file's route.
3)From my application, when consulting the data, give the app access to the file directly; simply by getting the query form the database.
