VS 2008 Serialize A Property Of An Object As Another?

Basically I have created an object that has a graphicspath as one of its properties... and i want to serialize it...
I was basically wondering if i could somehow automate the serializing of the GraphicsPath to another object (for the purposes of serializing since the graphicspath cannot be natively serialized)
eg serialize it to a list of the following class:

<Serializable()> _
Public Class sPath
Public PathPoints() As PointF

If a class is serialized and has events fired from it that are handled on a form you get the error "Form1 cannot be serialized" in c# you can use (to work around this):

My problem is quite simple and I am probably just not using the correct syntax, I am trying to add an attribute in my class so that when I serailaize the object it will include the schemalocation attribute in my generated XML.In C# I would be looking at doing something like this:
[XmlAttributeAttribute("schemaLocation", Namespace = "xsi")]
Public Property schemaLocation() As String
Get
Return "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema MyNewsItem.xsd"

However in VB Im unable to find the translation for [XmlAttributeAttribute("schemaLocation", Namespace = "xsi")]

I have a class called Truck and a form called frmTruck I have some code like this in a method. It recieves obj as Truck
Dim ms As New MemoryStream(1000)
Dim bf As New BinaryFormatter(Nothing, New StreamingContext(StreamingContextStates.Clone))
bf.Serialize(ms, obj)
To simplify my code, I have basically something like this for frmTruck:

private truckValue as Truck

During the LoadTruckFromDatabase function I call the SerializeTruck method, here everything goes fine. But when I call the SerializeTruck just before End sub of DoSomething, it goes wrong I get an exception saying that frmTruck is not serializable My truckinstance doesn't have any references to frmTruck...

I am trying to serialize object in method binary mode. However, I would like to get a file in human-unreadable format. which means i want to encrypt file. In my memory, if i want to write text into binary file in C, when I set writing mode as binary, I will get a file in human-unreadable format, but in .net, I can't get that.

how to create my own custom property that is an object but that allows a string to be passed in to the property grid to configure it.For example, with a font type property you can type "Microsoft Sans Serif, 18pt" into the property grid and it will create the appropriate font structure and fill it.

I searched on the forum / Internet for the solution how a PropetryInfo object (of a Public property) can reveal if it has a Private Protected Setter ... it was all in vain .... all help I found was about how to "Set" value of a public property having a Private Setter.I would like to know if I have a PropertyInfo object of a public property, how would I know if its Setter is Non Public?
I tried, in a exception handling block, where I did a GetValue of the PropertyInfo object and then called SetValue by setting the same value back... but to my surprise it worked well and didn error out.

I know how to handle a single objects property changed event very easily. I want to handle a objects property changed event that is part of another object.
Given Object:
[ObjectY = Y]
+ Public WithEvents X As ObjectX
I would like to do something like:
Private Sub XPropertyChanged() Handles Y.X.PropertyChanged
Right now I need to create a object that equals the object inside that object and then handle this variable pointers property changed, but that is just annoying.

I'm checking If a border's child property is not set to nothing or equal to a given element, but whenever I run the program, it says that it's set to nothing and crashes. Here's my code:
If Not Me.Child.Equals(Nothing) Then ...
If Me.Child.Equals(value) Then ...
Both gives an error. What should I do to pass these lines? Also in C# it would look like this:
if(this.Child != null) ...
if (this.Child != value) ...
But this time it doesn't give an error.

I desperately seek for a code sample to serialize an array of structure elements to a XML. To serialize a simple object of a structure I used:

i made an assembly that contains a class DownloadJob / I load the assembly into another project (the download manager) and i am trying to serialize the downloadjob into a XML file as such:

I put the save function in the assembly in the class downloadjob itself so ME refers to the DownloadJob class object that i want to serialize I get this huge exception:
The assembly with display name 'Download Client.XmlSerializers' failed to load in the 'LoadFrom' binding context of the AppDomain with ID 1. The cause of the failure was: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Download Client.XmlSerializers, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

I have a listbox with several list items added. I want that as user click on an item, I should be able to show its property. This should change for different items. For example (hypothetical) : Listbox has numbers 1 - 10. Now when I select 1 I should be able to set property - Name, Lastname, Colour, Age.
When I select 2 I should be able to set - Age, Hair Colour (clr shows), Weight, Date. When I select 3 then - City (combo box drop down), Country, Age only. This way value changes for diff items. One way is to put them in property grid and show them. Though this looks nice but adding/removing items in that is not easy. You need to have a class that refer that to prop grid. Do I have to code for each classes for all values in listbox or is there an easier way to manage items in property grid. If you think prop grid is not the right tool for such an activity then can you suggest something else.

I have a qeustion where i made a function that changes the property value of an object. the objects + alias are stored in an array (Objects()) , if the var (NewValue) has a value then it checks the property type and converts the Newvalue and inputs it.
