I am trying to identify the value if a checkbox against a record in a datagrid.
I am trying this:
Dim eRow As Integer
eRow = dgv.CurrentRow.Index
TextBox1.Text = dgv.Item(6, eRow).Value
But I get nothing it works on other fields in the datagridview. The user will de-select records he does not want to authorise. When he has done this I want to update another table with the values that are selected(or True) on a button click event. There could be 100's of records so not sure if this is the best way to go about this.
i'm populating a datagridview from a sql server db. so when i select an item from a combobox and then a date from a monthcalendar i populate my dgv based on the classid of the combo and the weeknumber of the monthcalendar like this:[code]
I have a userform which allows my users to go through numerous comboboxes to select a combination of items they want displayed in a datagridview. My datagridview is populated from sql queries to my database(s), depending on the choices made in the comboboxes. The first column has checkboxes so my user can pick which rows they want to keep. Once they've chosen what they want, they click a button to save those rows into a seperate sql table.
All this works well, but here's my problem. After they click the button to save to the table, or another button which simply clears the datagridview without saving to the table, I want to clear my datagridview. While it seems to work, after all my comboboxes are cleared, and I go through another iteration of choices, and I display all the rows again in the datagridview, I get a second column of checkboxes.
Right now the checkbox column is added right before the datagrid's datasource is set. I've tried adding this column outside the subroutine that populates the grid, but it doesn't work.And I've tried numerous ways to delete this column so it will be regenerated when the datagridview is repopulated. Different things either give me errors or bomb when I compile.how to remove a checkbox column from a datagridview for good?

I'm facing a strange problem in my dgv, I have the dgv bounded to a datatable, now I had to add a new column to let the user checks the rows that he/she want to export to a text file. I had the checkbox column, but when I run the application I can't check any row, I try to add in the click event of the dgv to manually check the column but it still not works...

I need to change the cell type of an unbound datagridview ROW to checkbox type at runtime. Optionally adding a row of all checkboxes or changing the default type to checkbox is also fine. I see many examples for setting a column type to checkbox but I don't see anything that operates at the row level. Even operating at the cell level would be fine.

I have a tbl called tblProjectpatients which also has 2 fields Yes and No (these have the data type - Bit). These two fields have been populated with false and true values. On my form, I have a datagridview which is populated with various values from tblProjectpatients. The problem am facing is that the checkbox's for Yes and No on the datagridview are empty at runtime eventhough at the backend they have either False or True values. I've created a Datagridview bound to a Datatable. This Datatable is updated by a event to reflect statistical information as it changes (sub second resolution). I have a checkbox to determine if a row is available for other functions and can be toggled on and off normally if my eventhandler is not receiving my updates.
If my bound Datatable is changed, the checkbox returns to its previous state as soon as the cursor or focus leaves the checkbox glyph (not the cell).
How do I toggle the checkboxes without them reseting without disconnecting my eventhandler?

I am using Visual Studio 2008, Vb .Net 3.5 and MS Access 2003.I have a datagridview (DGV) control bound to this MS Access DB. One of the queries is bound to this grid. Everything works fine, the data is displayed correctly. Here's the problem The SELECT statement of query has a BOOLEAN column which is shown as a check box on the grid (this is exactly what I wanted to be shown), when user clicks one of the check boxes all the records are updated. For example, if 30 rows are displayed and user changes stuats column from FALSE to TRUE for only 2 records all records in the table are set to TRUE.I have set the UPDATE command for this query's table adapter using the DataSet designer as "UPDATE <table> SET Status=?"
