View 9 RepliesI am having trouble in getting the coordinates of x-axis and y-axis in low level ouse hook...all I am getting is values in x-axis listbox and in y-axis listbox I am getting zeros......why? and my second problem is I am calling the setcursorpos
function in a for loop because I want to automate mouse movements and clicks, but setcursorpos function is not working , maybe because I am getting the coordinates wrong.....here is my code

I am trying to figure out how to print a string of text inverted so the background would be black, and the text would be white. Is there any way to do this using drawstring? Been looking around, but am not getting anywhere.

View 2 RepliesI have a P/L chart which has a left scale (Y axis) which starts from a negative value. I want to format the axis labels (the major tick mark labels) so that the negative ones are red.
Something like;

Of course that doesn't work since MajorTickMark doesn't have a value property. How does one make this work?
I am overlaying a staff members ID number over their photo using drawstring.
As the image can vary from dark to light no one text colour can assure that the text will be readable.
Is there an easy way to invert the text colour pixel by pixel based on the colour of the image pixel the text will be drawn onto.
I have made some applications in visual studio 2008 which connect to a sql server database. Now I want to use these applications on another computer and with another server. The path to my database is exactly the same, but the server name is different. I have installed and running the database on this new computer. I think I have to publish my projects again on this new computer, but when i do that i get a form which shows up but without the data of my database. What do i have to change in the code so it will work?

I am developing a computer application designed to monitor the network and CPU statistics on a computer remotely. The monitored computer would have my program installed and the monitoring computer would display, in a form, the information being sent from the remote client.The application does not send any information regarding packets, user names, passwords, etc. It is solely meant for monitoring CPU performance and Network resources remotely.
What would be the best method to send this information over to my host machine?I am programing in Visual Studio 2008 on windows XP. The client machine is also XP. I know this sounds a little shady, but it is required for my little business (http://www.iquorum.net) to monitor what and when something happens on our machines when I and my employees are away.
I am having some major problems with the code in VBA and recording a macro didn't get me anywhere nor is the VBA help file. I have to have it so that I can input a values for the x axis rotation and the y axis rotation so that my 3d surface graph will rotate whatever values I input, the 3d surface graph will rotate those degrees. I also have to have a method for having the default rotation. I was also wondering how to put scroll bars for the x and y rotation. The only other thing I am having trouble with is having an input to check box for right angle axes. So far I have two cells for entering the x rotation value and the y rotation value. I also already have my 3d surface graph.

Windows XP Media Center Edition 2002
Service Pack 3
2 GB RAM
.NET Framework 3.5
The script runs fine on my Vista Ultimate PC. However, my friend runs it on his pc and nothing is written to the file. The directory and the file are being created, but nothing is in the file. Is there something that I am missing about XP Media Center Edition?

I have the smallest dataset in the world that simply consists of a month (text) and and amount. I want to produce a chart showing the month along the y-axis and the value up the x-axis. How do I do it? I have dragged the chart control onto the report page and populated the dataset. The chart shows but nothing like what I would expect. Just to make it simple I populated the dataset with an amount equivalent to the month number so it should show as 1 in January, 2 in Feb etc...However no matter where I drag the dataset's column names I don't get what I want. Where am I going wrong?
I use this simple loop to populate the dataset:

I am working on a graphics application. If there were, for example, 3 rectangles in the picturebox. If you were to right click one of them a contextmenu would pop up. In the context menu you are able to click a button called Fill. When you click fill the selected rectangle gets filled in with the colour white. The rectangles are drawn by the user.

View 1 RepliesI would like to develop an application that involves a lot of tables and maths, and then displaying the results. I can visualize how this would work in SQL, as far as creating the stored procedures and tables required, however the front facing application would be a completely new experience to me.I would probably be sharing the built application with friends, but completely as a no profit tool. I assume that the developer edition of dot net is a suitable option? My main query is, is dot net really the best way to develop this tool? I have a strong feeling that I will not be able to use SQL as this would require a server to be run, and this is not practical. Can the tables be implemented into a DLL or similar to be used by the application for example?
