Nov 19, 2011I made a code that will change the background button when the mouse cursor over it, the user press and release it ,and it work great.The code below is a part of the code I made, which will change the background of the button when click by user.
Method to use:

But I had to reset all of the background of the button first, the picture below explain why I need to do like this:

So is there any better code for this? Because my method seen a bit silly. Is there any code that can change the background of all the button in one time?
Changing Background Image During Runtime?
Dec 9, 2010i have a program i've made a while, and one of the users wants to be able to load his own images to the background instead of the plain grey that is there now. i've searched and searched, and basically can get this working

i just slapped that onto a button just to get it to work as i was experimenting. but that only works for a file of that name, on my computer, in that folder. what i'm looking to do is get it so a user can browse his own directories for images and upload them as the background on the form. and be able to save the settings as well. but so far i have only seen different ways to load preset images that you can load. if it's even possible? i'd assume that you'd use the openfiledialog command, but i'm not that well versed in vb as of yet.

But in my app, the background of this controls didn't change. Why? I assume, I don't need to place again this controls on each forms to get the new background color, or do I? I can change the color of the return value based on conditional statements but cannot figure out the correct syntax to change the table cell back ground. My attempt is commented out.
How do I correctly declare the table cell? Findcontrol must not be the correct way.
VS 2010 Function For Changing Picturebox Background Image With String?
Mar 1, 2012What I have done is named a bunch of picture boxes "Q," "W," "E," etc. (the whole alphabet) and named picture that correspond to these picture boxes ("Q.png," "W.png," and so on) and added them to my resources.
For example, the following code would give the picture box named "Q" it's corresponding image "Q.png":

Of course, it's kind of a pain in the backside to copy and paste this code and change all the Q's to W's and so on, so I was hoping to create a function to do the job for me:

VS 2008 Changing Computer Monitor Size Of Multiple Monitors?
Jun 28, 2010Now this program will only be used on systems that I produce, and send out. I need to make sure that for any monitor that these people use it will always be at the standard resolution of 1440 x 900..
I have tried setting up profiles with catalyst control panel, but if you plug in a different monitor to the one that was plugged in when you made the profile it wont recognise the screen and the system wont run properly.
So I wanna see if I can change the resolutions of the screen that will be plugged in the monitor slot and also if possible make sure the other extended screen should there resolution of 1024 x 768..how much control can you get over the monitors that are plugged in?

Jan 9, 2011I am moving from vb6 to vs2010. I installed vs2010 but no vb program, even the simplest will run. As soon as I load a solution either vshost32.exe or vshost32-clr.exe will shut down.If I create a vb application, even with just a form, a button, it will not run but will exit with the following.

If I create an exe it will run on other computers but not mine, exe's that are created on other computers will run there but not on mine, so it doesn't seem to be a vs2010 problem but something else. I removed and reinstalled .net framework, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5 but that didn't help either. Since exe's that I create will run on other computers but not mine, I suspect it's .net framework but other than uninstalling and reinstalling it, I have no idea what to check.

I'n doing a project that uses .net to control a camera. the camera is nikon, which has a sdk. unfortunately, the sdk is an unmanaged dll, from the research I did, people complained that it is difficult to use it in .net. actually, no1 has example. but the sdk has sample in vc++. so, I'm thinking maybe can build the control program by vc++, then use vb.net or c# to it and run it in the background. so, I do not have to mess the dll to .net.

May 1, 2010on an xp computer .. i used vb-2008 professional to create a program i then used the (setup-wizard) to create the files and folders to deploy the program on a CD.i followed the walkthrough documentations on how to use the (setup-wizard) .. but when i install the program on a different xp machine .. i get the following message:

Moving Program To New Computer
Aug 15, 2009I have been working on a program on my old computer. Now, I have gotten a new computer and would like to continue to work on it there. The program is not yet finished. I would like to copy my program to my new computer. How can I do this? I tried copying the folder from my old computer to my new one and it opened the project, but I could not edit it as there was no permission given to edit it. It shows it as a read-only.

To simualte the forces I have used teechart, and have also programmed a genetic algorithm to optimise the system. However, I have just reformatted my computer, and now I cant get the program to run. I can access the code (in Form1.vb) and there are no problems, but 2 errors, and 5 warnings exist in Form1.Designer.vb.
