I've installed Visual Basic Power Pack 3 in Visual Studio 2008 SP1. I wanna change the background color of RectangleShape in a C# WinForm !!! I changed FillColor property and BackColor property to Black but nothing happened and RectangleShape's background color didn't changed.

The problem is that I don't understand how to apply the "A Completely OwnerDraw TabControl" to my project, my knowledge isn't so far yet. Is there any way I can achieve the same results using something simplier? Or if not, could someone explain to me how to apply it without making any mistakes?

I can change the color of the return value based on conditional statements but cannot figure out the correct syntax to change the table cell back ground. My attempt is commented out.
How do I correctly declare the table cell? Findcontrol must not be the correct way.
I made a code that will change the background button when the mouse cursor over it, the user press and release it ,and it work great.The code below is a part of the code I made, which will change the background of the button when click by user.
Method to use:

But I had to reset all of the background of the button first, the picture below explain why I need to do like this:

So is there any better code for this? Because my method seen a bit silly. Is there any code that can change the background of all the button in one time?

There is a reset button to put the colors to how they were without any special coloring, but I can't get them to go back to how they originally looked.They go to gray in the middle, instead of the nice shaded blue/gray style. I have tried a few different things:

I want the background of my form to be the same color as the window frame color that the user selects, even if that changes. I selected System->WindowFrame as my background color, but it always remains a dark grey, regardless of what I have my window color set to. How else would I achieve what I want? I'm working on a program that does a bit of color-coding in a datagridview. My problem is that when a row is selected, the color-coding goes away since the normal behavior for the datagridview is to change the back-color to blue and fore-color to white. What I want it to do though is keep the fore-color that is being set through my code. I guess what I'm trying to find out is if there is an event that happens when a row is selected that I can modify to run my own color-coding. Well I've been working on a web designer and I wanted to be able to color different keywords and strings enclosed in quotes. Now I've been able to color the keywords but every time I try to color a string in quotes it colors the from the beginning of the document to the end of the quoted string. I've tried looking at samples and apply those methods to the code but it still colors all the text in front of the quoted string as well.This is the sub I'm using to color the text.

what I am trying to accomplish worked with the code in the last thread I posted a while back. I still am using this code, however, I changed the window size to work better and gave it a nicer background for the title screen of my project. Now what I am working on at the moment is making a settings form that has 2 labels. One for "Default" Layout and one for "Plain" layout. When default is at start, the default label is disabled,and when plain layout is clicked, the button is disabled and default button is enabled.Basically, this is a toggle switch for default or plain where if one is enabled, the option for it is disabled and the other is enabled.My problem is that when I switch from Plain back to default, the background Image will not switch back from the plain background color of "control"Here is my code:

View 1 Repliesi have a program i've made a while, and one of the users wants to be able to load his own images to the background instead of the plain grey that is there now. i've searched and searched, and basically can get this working

i just slapped that onto a button just to get it to work as i was experimenting. but that only works for a file of that name, on my computer, in that folder. what i'm looking to do is get it so a user can browse his own directories for images and upload them as the background on the form. and be able to save the settings as well. but so far i have only seen different ways to load preset images that you can load. if it's even possible? i'd assume that you'd use the openfiledialog command, but i'm not that well versed in vb as of yet.
