I am writing a code to search through the entire listbox items and highlight them whenever user enters text in textbox. I am looping through textbox items which are entered using a 'comma' . I am trying to write a vb2008 program that allows a user to select an airport from a combobox and then once the value has been selected it searches a comma separated text file once it has found the airport selected ( always the first column in the file) in the file it populates 8 other textboxes with the row data from the file. The idea is to select the airport and then it calls up the radio frequencies associated with the airport.I assume you have to call the data into an array and the search thorough the array until the combobox.selectedvalue = the value in the array, but i am unsure how to do this Ideally I would like to be able to the user to add data to the file thats why I used a combox, but I am having trouble trying to get the boxes to populate so first things first.

What I want to know is if there is a way to insert text into a text box on another browser using visual basic...Also if there is a way to put text only into specific fields... An example...A password memory program...What I mean by this is you have a form filled up with usernames and passwords and it will insert the correct username and password for the specified site. I guess the main thing I need to know is if it is possible to make visual basic correspond with another browser instead of using the actual WebBrowser control and a place I could go to find out how.

Is there a better method for outputing the data, rather than having to concatinate all the elements into a string and then writing it? In the 'good old VB6' days a Print statement followed by each value and a separator would do the trick. I can't seem to find the appropriate override for the WriteLine method.
i have a stream reader reading a csv comma delimited file, its skipping every second line though if i edit the file and enter blank lines in between, it reads them correctly
I have a text file, with several lines of comma delimited data. The easy part is that each item fits into the same field, so I can use a 2 dimensional array. I would like to use .net classes to do this, not the old file handling functions I was used to.How can I take the text file and load the data in the text file into a 2 dimensional array. Here is example data in test.txt

I'm brand new to visual basic and I've been given an exercise to extract data from a text file. I can get the lines of data to read in and can get the names out using the following code. How can I extract the department i.e. sales and finance also using the mid and instr functions? I also need to be able to list list the people by department using a dropdown combo box.
I want to pass a comma delemited list of values as a parameter to a query I'm building using the designer in Visual Studio 2008 based on some strongly typed DAL tutorials I was going through. The query is going against a DB2 database. Here's what I want to do:
select * from prices where customer in(?)
It works fine win I pass in 123456 as ?But fails when I pass in '123456' (it is a char field so I don't know why this doesn't work; it must be adding these behind the scenes) or 123456, 123457 or '123456', '123457' I'm adding this page to a portal where all the data access is being done based on the DAL designer model with a BLL that calls it so I wanted to do it this way for consistency.
