VS 2008 - Invoke The 'click' Event Of A Command Button

It was pretty simple in VB6 to invoke the 'click' event of a command button (i.e.; btnNext_Click). I am having difficulty trying to do the same think in VS2008.
I am getting errors at line btnNext_Click(): Error1Argument not specified for parameter 'e' of 'Private Sub btnNext_Click(sender As Object, e As System.EventArgs)'.
Error2Argument not specified for parameter 'sender' of 'Private Sub btnNext_Click(sender As Object, e As System.EventArgs)'.

I actually know how to do this but this one is a little tricky because I don't see an "Id" for the button, all I am noticing are classes. The button originally says "3D", then when you click on it it says "2D", if you click on it again it says "3D", and so on...here is a snapshot of the html code behind the button

I've have a editable pdf with button fields in it. I'm processing this editable pdf in my vb.net application using iTextsharp. I want to know, how to programmatically invoke the button field inside the pdf. Though, I'm using iTextSharp dll, i could not find any helpful resource to invoke and handle the button events. Please guide me how to invoke the button events of pdf, programmatically using vb.net.

let's say I have a btnX_click event calling each time when I click btnX:[code] I have menuX menu item and click event for it:[code]I just want every time when menuX item clicked on to do the same thing as btnX control does when clicked.I haven't been programming in VB for ages;Actually haven't been programming at all for a while..But definitely remember writing (calling command event without explicitly clicking on it) this in Delphi; but cannot remember how;

I am trying to write a program using Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition that will automaticlay generate multiple Command Buttons that have different Texts and perform different commands.For example I want to generate Button_1 and Button_2 where Button_1 when clicked enters the value "1" into a textbox and Button_2 enters the value "2" into the same textbox.I know this can be simple done by using the designer and wirting the code in the Button_1_Click, but what I want to eventually achieve is for various buttons to be generated across different Tabs in a TabControl.So far I can create a button on a windows form using code, but the button has no purpose so command is assigned to it. I have created Command Array like follows.

So.. I want to get each and every command button name when I press One of command button.
Ex:
If I press NewButton8 then I need msgbox with it's name, text (All of command button properties if possible). Button Name is very important

- Load MS Access Database (Done)
- Load an MS Access form (Done)
- Take dates from Main.VB and populate 2 fields in MS Access form (done)

How Do I Make Button.click Event Perform both the enter and period(del) keys on the numeric keypad? [Code] Case Keys.Enter and Case Keys.Separator do not work. Nor does anything like Keys.OEMPeriod for the period(del) key. I've also tried calling the enter key in a KeyPress event etc. But to no avail. Any ideas? I'm trying to mimic Windows calc.exe for a school project and thought I'd try throwing in a few extras such as numeric keypad functionality.

I have a vb.net application that uses Flash movies (AxShockwaveFlashObjects.AxShockwaveFlash). I have buttons in the flash movie. When they first start using the application, they can single click on the buttons in the flash movie and button responds accordingly. But after a while (and I haven't been able to pin-point an exact thing that changes it or my issue would be solved), the user has to double-click on the button in the flash movie for them to work.

I want to create a server control that inherits System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button but gives it special capability, now what do i mean? i want my button to be a confiorm button that will work like so:
Renders to the page as a button of lets say cancel after the user clicks it i want to catch the click event (within the server control) and now after the click makeing the button not visible and makeing some kind of content placeholder (that will render from the server control) visible. that content place holder will have 2 buttons inside of it: yes and cancel. I want the programmer that adds this control to be able to register a function to the click event of the yes button. and the second cancel confirmation button should make the first button appear agian. (i know how to do this all in the client side but this time i need it all as server events)
My question is this: how do i catch the click event? i want it all to be handled inside the server control itself. so a programmer that adds this control wont have to worry about anything but just needs to register to the click event of the "yes" button.

Can i Know how to catch between these 2 event, Leave and Click?
I have one checking in a textbox Leave event. I will go check whether this ID is already exist in DB or not. If exist, I will prompt MSG box to user.
When I click on Close button while focus is on textbox, this textbox Leave Event will trigger first before Button Click event.
So, the form remains open without trigger Button Click event.
how to prevent this textbox leave event or how can i catch/control this situation?

I believe there wont be any diff if user clicks the button on the form and the click event is fired OR if we call the button click event / function in the code. Because in one my project, this does make diff. If I click the button on the form, the App works great but same button if I click it thru the form code, the whole process crashes. This happens in Vista / VB.net.

I need to write an application that can validate wether or not a proper process was followed based on information that was entered into another .NET appliction. Basically, I need to be able to intercept a mouse click on a button in another application so that instead of submitting the data it triggers my validation code then cancel the action if need be.
We do not have the code to the other application. I have everything I need perform the validation. The only thing I don't know how to do is intercept the mouse click on the button control of the other application. Can some one show me how this is done?

I'm trying to create Command Buttons dynamically, but clicking the button in question doesn't seem to raise the corresponding CommandButton_Click event. I noticed that in the examples on SO a property is set for Button.OnCommand as well as the CommandName and CommandArgument but it isn't an option in intellisense.(code below without the OnCommand), is it accessed in some other way - if so, why do the examples I've found all show it as .OnCommand?
EDIT: Further to help, I have added the handler however the event is still not firing. The buttons reside in an UpdatePanel and are rebuilt on every postback (along with the handler). I have created a simplified example of what I'm doing which is shown below If the button event fires, it writes "EVENT FIRED" to the txtTestFired Textbox - suffice to say I have never seen that.

The only change is the relative position of the textblock and button. The button's click event (and every other event I tried) just doesn't fire unless the textblock is before the button in the xaml.

Im trying to create a webform that is a representation of a paper questionnaire that has 14 questions with yes/no answers. If an answer is no, then you must provide information as to why in 3 separate textboxes and store the information only when a user clicks no.I also have 4 drop down lists that are chosen before the user answers the first question that also need to be stored with the textboxes, but the ddl's value does not change after the user starts. Right now I have 3 textboxes and a submit button for each of the 14 questions that are hidden until a user hits a "no" button, in which I change the visible property of all of them and the user then types in their reasons and submits the answer. I am currently doing this for each question and i hide/disable the textboxes and button after submitted.
My problem is that for each event on the 14 submit button's is that I'm forced to open & close an sql connection and insert the values. I know there has to be a way to simply this some so that I dont have 14 different groups of the same code. I would also like a way to eliminate having 40 textboxes on a page lol, because the idea was to have a pop up box or something open that would let the user submit it and then return to the question instead of hiding textboxes, but the user has to see all 14 questions at page load so if you got an answer to that one then that might solve my original question.
