VS 2008 Resize A Picturebox Dynamically Using .size.height And .size.width
Nov 20, 2009
Im trying to resize a picturebox dynamically using .size.height and .size.width Its not working. This is the error message: "Expression is a value and therefore cannot be the target of an assignment." Never used height and width before. Been trying to find the answer, but it seems beyond me. Im sure its easy. Anyone know whats wrong with this?
been trying to find examples of how to go about auto sizing the controls i have within a grid control if the users screen is larger than the default size.Currently i am unable to resize the controls when i enlarge the form. Is there any code currently that can find all controls inside the grid and resize them on the fly when the form is resized? My current code is:
I'm currently in the process of making a dynamic signature generator, and I want to make the user be able to see what he would get... So I thought of putting a browse button and allowing them to load up a background image for their signature, but I also want the picturebox to resize according to that image's size. I need them to be the same size because of the image's X, Y are needed for the signature.
I have a label which appears full screen on a projector (VGA 2). In this label I will be sending strings. Some one liner's, some wrapped paragraphs. Some multi-line with carrage returns. My goal is to have the font dynamically change size to be as large as possible without overflowing the fixed label size.
I drew an image in a picturebox with the image height as picturebox height and image width as picturebox width. The image is placed somewhere on the center of the picturebox. My intention is to scale the image to fit to the picturebox.
I'm working on a Remote Desktop Control in VB.NET. However, I have no clue how to get the location where the user clicked on the picturebox.
There's a picturebox with the captured screenshot and when he clicks on the picturebox, I have to grab the width and height where the user clicked. This is not the width, height from the whole screen but from the picturebox.
I want a set of child forms to keep their relative sizes and locations to their parent form when parent form is resized. So if one child form is opened and covers the lower right quadrant.. it will remain a quadrant for whatever resize is done on parent form.
I have wondered the solution to this question for many years! I doubt if anyone else knows much about it because the internet is absolutely zero help in this!
I have made a form1 with a webbrowser control on it. When the program is run it brings up the homepage (which is Google). However the homepage doesn't seem to fit inside the webbrowser control.
So I am hoping that someone could tell me how to make the (...I dunno how to ask this retarded question...) webpage fit completely (100%) inside the size of the webbrowser control. Meaning...I would like to see the entire webpage from the internet in the size of the webbrowser control. To fill the entire size (whatever size I want).
Etc... if my webbrowser ontrol is seh, set to 600px by 400px, how can I program this so when it brings up the homepage (or any other page), it fills the entire size of the webbrowser control? Without any scrollbars. How to make the contents from the web (or local) fill the size of the webbrowser - almost like a mini browser if you will.
I developed a form application on my computer, but when it was used in another computer with different screen size, i was told the form didn't fit. Do I have to adjust the form size or any other ways to let the form compatible on different screen size? (could be different screen size or wide screen)
I'm trying to get specific rows in a DataGridView to resize to the minimum height required to display my wrapped text. There's only field with multiple lines, and usually its in the vicinity of 1-2, but can get up to four. When I called[code] DataGridView1.AutoResizeRow(loadcol)[/codein a for-loop, it made every column enormous, enough to fit maybe 9 or 10. I don't want the user to have to resize columns to see pertinent data, nor to have to scroll and try to remember all the data as they edit
Now all went well about from using the structure correctly. The working of the structure was perfect. How ever i missed Two important issues. The structure needed a fixed size of 10 items (9 in programming terms starting from 0) And also out of the 5 items allowed to be chosen as one of the member types for the structure a limit of 5 items of that particular type.
How to change the height of each row of datagridview in order for it to more taller. I use this code Me.DataGridView1.RowTemplate.Height = 100 I want it to adjust base on the content of the text.. so that each row dont have the same height and it will base only on the size of the text or content of the current row?
I am using this code which I am checking with the form width size that if they are greater than 672, then do something....
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click If Me.Size.Width >= 672 Then MessageBox.Show("the form size is greater than 672") Else
When the width size is no greater than 672, the messagebox will display that it says "the form size is greater than 672" which it sound didn't looks right for me. What I am trying to do is to check the width size that if they are greater than 672 then display the messagebox that says "the form size is greater than 672", otherwise if the width size is no greater than 672 which is equal, then display the messagebox that says "the form size is no greater than 672".
I have an application in VB. In a single form are lots of labels with atleast 3 different sizes. What I want to do is, when I resize the form or maximize it, all of the labels and pictureboxes int the form are also going to be resized.
How do I configure the rowheights so that the top and bottom rows (menu bar and status bar) size to fit the height of their content, and the middle row (main content), fills the remaining available space in the program?I can't fix the height of the top/bottom rows because the height of their content can vary.
how I can resize the pane and the content adjust to the new size?I've tried to do this Panel_Menu.Width = 200 but the content does not resize to the new size. i want to see the information of 0 ,0 0 on on on , 7,5 IRE but I want the new size of the panel see all the information but in a smaller size. the problem is that when the user presses a button panel must be made smaller but has all the content?
