I have a datagridview with several columns, but what Im trying to do is sum km2 column based on date. Im using the following
Private Sub Form3_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Me.CadastroSeqTableAdapter.Fill(Me.Db01DataSet.CadastroSeq)
[Code]....
The query is grouping by DATE (data), this OK, but the km2_FF values not, is not showing anything. To be more clearer, this datagridview has different values of km2_FF for the same date, I want to display the total of km2_FF for each day.
Would it be possible to search a table, confining to a specific date range based on a date-time column, and get a count of the 10 most used words in a particular var-char column excluding a list of words? All in SQL?Currently I am pulling out the records that match and sorting through the contents outside of SQL, I would think where I can do it directly on the server it would be more efficient.(SQL 2008)
I have a data gridview on my windows form with 4 columns. Now I identify a column as followed:
Dim item1 as String = DataGridView1.Item(1, index).Value
So now I use a number ( In this case: 1 ) for the column index, but I want to make it a bit more readable so now I want to obtain the column index based on the datagridview column name.[code]...
I have a datagridview and trying to filter recs based on a Date field. This is the Dim ds As New AOListingDataSet Dim da As New AOListingDataSetTableAdapters.CallwithNameTableAdapter da.Fill(ds.CallwithName) Dim dv As New DataView(ds.CallwithName) dg1.DataSource = dv [Code] .....
It works ok when filter is on other fields but brings empty on 'CallDate' date field. I have declared the 'CallDate' field in db as long date format in Access.
I have a datagrid adding items for selling. The total for each row is calculated on the price, qty and discount. This goes into rowTotal column. Below the grid, there are 2 textboxes, one for txtBoxVAT and txtBoxSumTotal. Now I want to add the column 'rowTotal' into txtBoxSumTotal. How to achieve this.kesk
I was thinking to add another column named "Symbol" and based on the "Status" column to format the cells of the "Symbol" column to display an image.
I edited the DGV, and add a new image column.
I created a directory in my solution called "references" where I put all the .bmp files
I don't know how to do this. My first thought was to put an expression in the DataTable Properties, but I didn't manage to make that work. Another way is to format the cells in the "Symbol" column, and again I don't know how to do that. I tried with "Select Case ... Case ... End Select" with no success.
LE: Should I Insert the .bmp files into SQL database (varbinary(MAX)) If yes, how?
I am developing a software using microsoft visual studio basic 2010. I used a datagridview control to display a list of data from product table. What I want to do (actually I am not sure how to do it, or is there a way to do it), when I choose one of the value in one of the column inside the table, I want it to open a form that contain data(details) based on that value. How to do it? How to call the value that I pressed, so it can be used to open a new form containing the details of that value
Example of the data: (the "system" column) SYSTEM topaz nex1300 Nec If I pressed "topaz" system, it will prompt me to a new form containing the details of that "topaz" system.
am trying to calculate the values in rows in column 6 based on values of column 5. Bellow is the the code I am using I get a run time error about the string not formatted properly
I have a datagridview in a form in windows application in which I have a column which accepts date values. In this column I want user to enter numeric values alone and when the user moves to next cell the value should get formatted to date type value(ex: 05/09/09). Similarly I have another column which must accept alphabets alone.
I have a datagridview populated using a csv file. I have a column named Date. The csv file has mixup of different date formats. So I need the date column in datagridview to be in standard "MM-dd-yyyy" format. I used below code
Me.dataGridView1.Columns("Date").DefaultCellStyle.Format = "d"It didnot have any impact. So I used the below shown code Me.dataGridView1.Columns("Date").DefaultCellStyle.Format = "MM-dd-yyyy"Still no effect.
I am filling datagridview with data from SQL server 2008 R2. one column is date which is stored in the data base as yyyy-mm-dd and when i retrieve it displays in the same format. I want to change the display to dd-MMM-yyyy.
Try Connect_Design_Document_Record() Dim cmdDrawing As New OleDbCommand("SELECT DRAWING_NO, DRAWING_DESCRIPTION, DRAWN_DATE, REVISION_NO" & _
I have a column with dates on it and I'm trying to sort it according to that.[code]I tried to use this but it only sorts by the first two digits, dd, and not with the full date.
I have a DGV which is part of an inventory system. I have several columns but the ones i need to resolve are Quantity, Name and Plural Name. essentially if quantity is 1 i need to display the Name data if greater than one the plural data. Is this possible? would i need to resolve this earlier in the process (the data is extracted from an xml file using LINQ to bind it to a rowObject) or can i do this with the completed dataset, say by hiding the Name and Plural Name colums and creating a custom column? ideally i would like to keep the data untouched.
I'm having a problem with my DataGridView. When I double-click on any column, with exception to Date & Time, the grid advances by 1. As you can see the 2nd row is highlighted in blue, I actually double-clicked on the first one, under "Sent By." (See attached image)
Here is my code
VB.NET
Public Class frmPickAssignment Dim dteStart As Date Dim dteEnd As Date
I have this form with a bunch of input controls. I have code working that will disable them all like I want, but need to work with the if/then statement portion. Basically, it's a "History" form for patients. There's a date field for each entry, and if that date doesn't match the date you're accessing the form I want it to disable all controls so you can't edit the form. So it would have to check the current date with the date that is on the form. Then I also want to have an override button that will ask you if you want to enable all controls anyway, which I can probably figure out. There is some older VB6 code (I think) but I know nothing about VB6 or how it translates.
I think this is the portion that does what I want in VB6: Private Sub DATE_DblClick(Cancel As Integer) Call Setdate Exit Sub Dim sysDate As Date, Response sysDate = VBA.Date [Code] .....
How to have the program check the current date with the date in this form. From there it's probably just a simple if/then statement to fire off either sub. This date control on the form is a DateTimePicker. Maybe I just have to compare that to the system date but I still don't know what to call for that.
I got a datagridview that gets filled from the database. One of the columns OSorderDate needs to be formated like this - "dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm:ss" but I don't know how to apply this to the column of a datagrid. The column type is DataGridViewTextBoxColumn.
i would like to filter a datagrid thats bound.i have the value as string 11/2010 wich is datevalue [code]i want to filter the dates that contain "11/2010" this value.obviously the result will be
i would like is to include amount1 and amount 2 values into sum only if amount1paidstatus="yes" for amount1 and amount2paidstatus="yes" for amount2, something like for selected day and selected customer.query "should" look something like this:select amount1(if amount1paidstatus=1)+amount2(if amount2paidstatus="yes")from my tablewhere (day=1) and (customer=1)
I'm writing a help application for the Customer support team at my company to help agents ask better questions when customers report problems. In it, I've got a SQL database that contains all the products, topics, and questions. The layout is similar to the following:
I don't know if I'm making myself clear, but I basically need to do the equivalent to the following SQL statement: "SELECT PRODUCT_ID FROM Products WHERE PRODUCT_Name = LstProducts.SelectedValue"
I have an application i am working on which gets data and places it into a dataview.
One of the columns contains a url that shows an image of the item being listed, my question is is it possible to have a floating imagebox so that the image is displayed when i mouseover the url? this would be a bit like a preview the images are not large (64x100 say)
My initial thoughts on this would be to use a tooltip but can i use images from a url with a tooltip? if so how, if not how can it be done?
I have a bound datagridview and I have found this forum that code that I use to select a row based on criteria
[Code]...
The code with selection works fine but it doesn't reset bindingsource (bsrc_SEL) .Current and also doesn't scroll to the first selected item,I know that code coudn't do more but how can I solve that.
I have a datagridview that's taking a while to load because my table contains almost 5000 records. How can I provide an easy way for clients to filter the grid based on a product name. I was thinking of having labels with each alphabet on my form and when they click a label it filters the bindingsource according to the chosen alphabet. this seems like an awkward solution though.
I am working on Datagridview. My task is adding buttons in the Datagridview table based on the case statements. Like In the Present table i have one column called "CategoryDescription". In this column, values are like 3101,3102, 3103........Here 31 is the common. and like 3201,3202,3203......Here 32 is the common. Like there are so many common values are there. So where ever the common values will come there i have to add one button in the Same column.
So Finally my conclsion is at Satrting 3101 and starting 3201,3301,3401.. i have to add one button control 3101 and add button control on 3201 and add button control on 3301.
I have an access form that shows a data table. when the form is opened, I want to filter the data in the date column to show only the records that don't have a date entered into the field.
