VS 2010 Click DataGridView Cell - Change Its Background Image
Mar 9, 2012
I'm trying to make a visual map editor, and figured that a DataGridView would be the best way to go. I would like to make it so that you can click one of many buttons to set which new image the grid cell will be set to when you click it. I've set up pretty much everything except that I can't figure out how to set the background image of the cell that I clicked.
Is it possible to change the background color of a cell when I click on it?
Also, is it possible to set a property so that when a cell is clicked on once it already has the focus that the 'edit' text feature doesn't let the user to change the text?
I have a datagrid view with 8 columns. How do I change the background color for any cell in columns 2-5 where the value equals the value in column 8. For instance:
Im building a software but look,,I have some images at my resource folder..I cant make it when the mouse double click the form the background image changes,,,I can make one image to change when u double click the form..example:
I am a tad new to the DataGrid controls, but I am just curious as to why the first code block below works, but the second code block does not? (Only thing I can see is the Handles DataGridClaims syntax
Block 1 Private Sub DataGridClaims_CellContentClick_1(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs) Handles DataGridClaims.CellContentClick
I want to programatically add a background image to individual cells in a datagridview for easy identification, prefirably in the right bottom corner of the cell.
I have just found that if a DataGridView image column's size (height & width - in pixels) is smaller than the image's original size (in my case all images are exactly 180 x 180 pixels) at the time the cell is populated then the image is automatically being converted to a lower resolution I assume to fit the image completely within the size of the cell). How can I stop the automatic scaling of the image?
The image below show the same file displayed twice, both at 60x60 pixels ('Thumbnail' column) and a blowup of the image (PictureBox populated via the CellMouseEnter event) to it's right. You'll notice the resolution of the first blowup is far less the the second. so, what made the difference in the resolution of the blowups is? In the second blowup's case I'd first stretched the image column's width to ~180 pixels and set the row height to match (via the ColumnWidthChanged event) then populated the DataGridView then stretched the image column to 60 pixels (its minimum).
This is for a winform vb.net 2008 app. I'm bringing data back from a database and based on some static conditions... i want to change the color of the background and the text. There is no rowdatabound event in winform...
I have a DGV where I'm setting the backcolor of certain cells to light gray. But I need to be able to restore the backcolor to what it was before I changed it to gray. I could just set it to transparent, but the problem with that is that I use an alternating row color of alice blue for the DGV & setting a cell in a blue row to transparent makes it white. So, in summary, I need to be able to restore white rows to white & blue rows to blue. Any ideas? I thought about checking the backcolor of another column in the row & then using that to reset the cell, but that seems kind of a hack.
I have been trying to make a "skinnable" program, and I am having trouble making it so that when the user clicks a button, it changes to a different image for the background.
How do I change the Background Image of a form ? not with the properties I know how to do it from there I guess . but I want to change it with coding .How do I do that ?
edit : and another thing when I try to add an image to a image box it shows me the image error image. you know when it can't load the image. it actually showed it for 1 second and then it disappear .here is the code for the Image box
Ok so i have a form of witch the user is able to change the background image of. The form has labels on it. How can i make the fore colour change to be if possible the opposite colour to the image where the label is in order to make it readable?
I need to be able to change the start up forms background image and i am lost on how to do it. Below is what I have tried. Can anyone tell me how this can be done.
Code: '1 try Dim f1 As frmMain f1.BackGroundImage = Image.FromFile(Application.StartupPath & "" & "MyBitmap.bmp") '2nd try Me.BackGroundImage = ImageList1.Images(0)
Basically I'm trying to make a layout change on a form if a link label is pressed. My main form I want this on has a "default" layout with a background image in place. What I want to do is, name the link label "Plain Layout". When the link label is clicked, remove or "hide" the background image and replace it with the background color of "control". After this action is performed, I need the text to change back to "Default Layout" and "show" the image.
I have a button on a datagridview (dgproducts)that when clicked, sends the data from that row to another datagridview called (DgSelectedProducts) in a Keypress. The button on dgproducts is unbound and is (0) and is named AddProductsButton in the collection. I am using a barcode scanner into txtboxsearchbarcodeID so that when the user enters the barcode to the textbox it finds the barcode in the dgproducts it filters down to that item.
When I say filter I mean all the items that do not match are not shown on the dgproducts datagridview. Only a single item can match. That part works ok. The problem that I am having is that I do not know how to perform a click on the cell(0) ie addproductsbutton so that the item is passed from the dgproducts to the dgselectedproducts when the item is scanned. This is for a POS form so it needs to do this.
Private Sub txtBarcodeSearch_KeyPress(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.KeyPressEventArgs) Handles txtBarcodeSearch.KeyPress ' If e.Handled = Keys.Enter Then txtSearchTerm.Text = txtBarcodeSearch.Text Me.CBOProducts.DisplayMember = "ProductIDBarcode" cmbSearchField.Text = "ProductIDBarcode" [Code] .....
How can i change the background image during runtime? so far, i have an openfiledialog that grabs the location of the .png or .bmp file and then i have this below it[code]...
How can i fix the error that i get "Type system.string cannot be converted to type system.drawing.image"
I am trying to put an image selected by the user into the form background. This means that an image from a specified file destination to be set as background.
i'm currently wonder how to let the users change the font size via a combo box(I have it set up for Small,Medium and Large) That should be fairly easy. The next is more complex. I want users to be able to browse for an image and use it as the background image of the program.
I have 2 events, one is that user can drag and drop the checkbox to wherever they like and other is to double click on the form to change background image. How to save these settings so the next time the form run, I'll have new checkbox position and background image.
I am working with a datagridview and checkboxes. Ok, I have the following code which runs without any errors but doesnt give the required results.
1) My problem is that, when I uncheck the checkbox in Cell 2, I want Cell 9 and Cell 6 to be empty.
2) When I uncheck the checkbox in Cell 2 and click any other Cell in the datagridview and check again checkbox in Cell 2 - it DELETES the data in Cell 9 & 6.
Now, when I check again the checkbox in Cell 2, Data is not populated in Cell 9 & 6 regardless how many times I try....
Private Sub dgvTransactions_CellContentClick(sender As Object, e As System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs) Handles dgvTransactions.CellContentClick If e.ColumnIndex = 0 Then
