Twitter Json - Unable To Convert To Jobject Or Jarray Using Json.net / Javascriptserializer?
May 9, 2012I am been stuck on this for 3 days now...I have been accessing the twitter api to pull a user_timeline for a list of users and the json that comes back is impossible to work with. I tried to deserialize it using javascriptserializer and get an error:invalid object passed in , ':' or '}'
Now this is frustrating since I expect the json being returned to be error free. Then I tried json.net and split the posts using string.split and tried to convert each post to Jobject or jarray. for Jarray I get
'unexpected end of content while loading jArray

Now I have formatted the code here and not pasted the whole file but it does look like valid json to me and I do not alter anything after receiving the stream from the twitter api. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I really need to get this stuff parsed?

I'm using the System.Web.Script namespace via System.Web.Extensions.dll (from Microsoft).
I'm willing to use an additional DLL file if needed.

Dec 6, 2011I recently made a transition to VS2010 from vb6, it's quite a change for me and I'm still learning most of the functionality.I have a project that reads a web server for xml files and saves them into a file directory, works great in vb6, but I haven't a slightest idea how to achieve the same thing in visual studio. I've read a whole bunch of threads on the topic and wrote a few lines of code without any success. For example there is an xml file that resides on the web [URL] how can I take it down and most importantly convert it into json? I've read about json.net but I can't find a single example with syntax.

I've written a PHP script that returns a simple JSON object that looks like this:

I'm doing a standard web request that submits the required data to the script over the internet and that's working fine.
Now, I want to use JSON.NET to pull out the individual variables so I can know what the values of "status" and "level" are. The problem is, I have no idea where to start.
I'm doing this in VB.NET (on the .NET Compact Framework).

Jun 20, 2012I am trying to import a large array of integers stored as a csv file into a VB.Net DataTable called BeamMap. The .csv file consists only of integers, with a delimiter of ,, no quotes around the data (ie., 1,3,-2,44,1), and an end of line character of line feed and carriage return. All I want to do is get each integer into a DataTable cell with the appropriate rows and columns (there are the same number of columns for each row) and be able to reference it later on in my code. I really don't want anything more than absolutely necessary in the code (no titles, captions, headings, etc.), and I need it to be fairly efficient (the csv array is approx. ~1000 x ~1000).

Feb 23, 2012I have a question about converting a datareader to a datatable. In my code, I have a datareader created in one class and passed to another class that I want to convert it to a datatable.
When I do this, it does not seem to work, as the table remains empty. If I do the conversion in the same function, it works fine.
Its only when I pass the datareader to another function that it stops working. Is this because the dr is closed or something? How do I overcome this problem? Any help would be great.
