Can I let my program select an item in a listbox based on a string (f.e. textbox.text)?
So basicly, if an item in my listbox containst a certain string (text from a textbox), it should select that item..

How could I link a Listbox to a Textbox? So each Listbox item holds string data, and when I click that Listbox item, it shows it's string data into the multiline Textbox. For example

I have one question, which is bugging me for a while.Let say, that i have a datagridview with one comboboxcolumn and few texboxcolumns.Comboboxcolumn has multiple values, etc, GR10, GR20, GR30, GR40, GR50...... (comboboxcolumn is bind to datasource).User has option to manualy select values in comboboxcolumn, but if they select some autocalculation in setting page of my program, i'd like to automaticaly select and show value in combobox.I searched tons of pages, but nothing useful.

What I really want is that when radGunsNRoses is checked, the listbox displays the songs and when one is clicked, it shows the song's lyrics in the ritfSongs. Same thing goes for radACDC but the songs are different and the lyrics.
How someone would select an item from a list box and click a button and have that item go into another listbox with it's price? I seem to be stuck on this part.

I have a textbox that i've bound to a dataset via the IDE.i've but when adding a new record i can;t populate it programatically, but the user can type data into. The follwing code doesn't put the required text in the textbox, but i can type it it while debugging:

this doesn't seem to make any sense - i'm adding new so i should be able to populate the textbox programatically, in the same way as a user can type in the textbox.I suppose i can bind the textbox programatically after adding the text, but this somewhat defeats the object of being able to databind via the IDE.
im trying to make a program in which if the textbox text and the listbox text are the same order, which they are in the picture, a bluie fonted text saying well done appears. However only the red text appears which is only meant to come when the order of the text in both listbox and textbox isnt the same.

use another textbox instead of the listbox but thats just making itmuch harder for me as I already made the full code working with the listbox. My lecturer told me i need to convert both in string so both textbox and listbox are compatible and i did so (see code above) but the correct label doesn't show?

Basically what I have going on is a play button that will play the selected item in the listbox and once the button is clicked then the next item in the list is highlighted and waiting. This works exactly like I want it but the only issue is when it gets to the last item in the list it want play it.

I was looking for info about checkedlistbox, and found some routines that deleselect one item if i check another, but i think is wrong the use of checkboxes (designed to multiple selections) to select one value. I am tryin to filter out the datagrid, so when i click on one of the names , it will only show those records. Right now when i click on one of the names, it displays that record, but im still seeing the rest of the records from the other names. i know it something like
