I can't seem to get the checkbox checked according to presence of a particular string in a text file. It looks like it should work but it doesn't.
I would like to know if there was a way to loop through all the checkboxes on a form and if the checkbox is checked then I need it to copy the text from the checkbox and the label. Thera are 23 of these labels with two checkboxes for each.I need to be able to paste this in notepad and have it formated as such
When each check box is checked I want the textbox to be updated like in the picture. Is there a better way to do that for the rest you see there other than coding one checkbox at a time?
I would like to copy the value of a check box when it is checked and I have two checkboxes. CheckBox1 and CheckBox2. Id like to be able to click 'Submit' and copy the values from the Checked CheckBoxes. Idealy, if both are checked then it would return something like this "CheckBox1, CheckBox2".

just for programming practice, want to know if: for example CheckedListBox1.Items.Add("October", CheckState.Indeterminate) has any advantage to use. Although Indeterminate and Unchecked have zero checked states. Why VB has provided these two? why not one only(Unchecked)? Is it a reason to get the checkbox checked when app starts by default?

I choose this code because I thought it was a good idea to use a public function to reduce the amount of code required. It works fine until the field I am checking for contains a ' character. I am using a BindingSource to fill all the textboxes on my form. It is working for all the textboxes but for some reason it is not working for my check boxes. The value from the database is a boolean and I am setting the property like this.

I have a form that creates a row of checkboxes depending on the type of analysis the user wants to perform on the incoming file. I need to be able to determine if the checkbox is "checked" but I don't know how to do that when the controls are created at runtime.So right now I have a loop going through all the controls on the form and selecting the appropriate case: for instance chkbox1, combobox1, etc. Now I can access the values of the control by using Me.Controls.Item(chkbox1) but after that the only thing resemebling checked is .Text which wouldn't be accurate. how do you workaround the .Checked property of a checkbox when it is created at runtime?
