Feb 22, 2012I'm trying to make this program that counts the frequency of each letter in the alphabet for a set of ciphertext, the calculation i want to do is:lettersum*(lettersum - 1) + lettersum*(lettersum - 1) for however many letters example: User puts aabbcc in the ciphertext box , the output should be
2(2-1)+2(2-1)+2(2-1) =6 If the user inputs aaaaab the output should be 5(5-1)+1(1-1) = 20 The code I have so far only counts the last number of letters for example: aabbcc only reads the cc part and only outputs 2(2-1) = 2 instead of 2(2-1) + 2(2-1) + 2(2-1) = 6.The code below is part of a button_Click item

Sep 19, 2011We have an interactive windows based application written in VB .Net 2010. It uses Word Object to display documents in MS Word. We have a form with a button. When the button is clicked we open the Word document and maximize the Word Windowstate. When we have the Visual Studio Tool running, the Word Document is maximized and has focus, even if we are running the exe from the bin folder outside of the tool. However, if Visual Studio is not running and we run the exe, focus remains on the original form window and the document stays in the task bar.

But it loads the whole file into list box. I only want to load those lines of text that contain following number: 2008. It doesn't matter if the "2008" is at the beginning, middle or the end of a line.
