Aug 11, 2009I have a form called FrmPracDetails which is built up with a List view called LvwColProc. Therefore when you click a field on the LvwColProc it takes you to another form called FrmColProcessing, here you can make changes to certain fields which are also present on FrmPracDetails. What I want to do is when you make changes on FrmColProcesing and Click the Save Button (which calls the Save function)the changes appear instantly on FrmPracDetails. Please note, FrmColProcessing will always be open next to FrmPracDetails. I have tried to put this code in the Save function present in FrmCol Processing as shown below, but it doesnt Refresh FrmPracDetails form. [code]

Jul 30, 2010It would be good if visual basic had standard math constants like pi, the Euler number, and others built-in so one doesn't have to define them each time and have the possibility of making typos. Even some of the physical constants in MKS unit could be included like the Boltzmann's Constant, speed of light, permittivity and such. Each could be a special simple like kb for the Boltzmann's constant. Or it could be a properties like phyconst.c for the speed of light, phyconst.kb for the Boltzmann's, phyconst.sb for the steffan-Boltzmann's constant, pmathconst.e for e=2.71.

VS 2008 Running A 32bit Built Program On A 64bit System?
Feb 8, 2011i've finally finished my A2 project by building a program for a real life solution. This program works on the school computers which are 32bit XP but when i try to run it on a Windows 7 64bit system, i can't get it to work after trying various things.
error:The 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' provider is not registered on the local machine.

Jun 14, 2010Basically i want to run a program that is created in vb2008 with its compiler properties set to AnyCPUThe programmer has a 32bit os, so he has not recognized that his referenced assemblies are not compatible with 64bit OS and therefore throw system.badimageformatexception on 64bit OS (such as mine; im running windows 7)
now it is my understanding that all 32bit applications can be run on 64bit windows because the WOW64 emulator can run them (just like programs that get installed in the program files x86 directory)so the problem here is that my OS cant recognize that this program must be run in 32bit since that programmer foolishly set the compile options to anycpu i can not contact the programmer and therefore asking him to recompile is not a possible solution.So, how do i run this program as 32 bit on my 64bit OS? how can i manually set 32-bit compatibility? it is not available in compatibility options.I tried running in compatibility mode for windows xp sp2 i tried putting the software in program files x86 folder.

In addition, Is it possible to delete a file through the code that is currently selected in the webBrowser window? I know there are alternatives to using the webbrowser control as a file explorer but I really like being able to change the views of the folder contents, the alternatives I have seen so far only allow for list views.

IDE Not Switching To Code View After Adding Event?
Jul 19, 2010I'm having some problems with the IDE for VS 2010 Professional. When I click a button to add a click event procedure, it's not switching over to code view. It also seems to be adding a bunch of extra code that I didn't add for other controls.
