I have an DatagridTemplate Column containing an Checkbox which through an converter gets checked when a property on my ItemSource is "J" and unchecked when the property is "N".This works, but now I want the property to be set to "J" if I select the checkbox or "N" when I deselect it.

I'm recently working on a WPF application that uses the datagrid from the WPF toolkit (and extended toolkit). I'm using a datagridtemplatecolumn because I show a tooltip on some of the values for some users. Other columns are datagridtextcolumns. I can sort on the status by adding the sortmemberpath on status, but status is a number (1,2,3,4,5..) and I convert those numbers to the names of another column. If I sort by this sortmemberpath, I first get the 1 then, 2, then 3, etc. but I want to sort alphabetical on the converted values.

I have a datagrid who's ItemsSource is a strongly typed IEnumerable object In this datagrid, I have a checkbox column, a price column, a part name column, and a 'total selling for' column. On checking the checkbox I need to update the total selling for column with the value in the price column. This part I have working, however, how can I get the checkbox to remain checked when this happens?

I'm doing a little app that basically has 2 text boxes. You'll enter Fahrenheit into TextBoxA and Celsius into TextBoxB.As the text changes in TextBoxA I want the equivalent Celsius value to be displayed in TextBoxB and vice versa.Is there a way to do it all in Xaml except for a Convert class that does the maths? So basically I want the TextChanged event of one textBox to pass in it's value into a Converter class that is evaluated and sent to the other TextBox and visa versa.

That is the reason I intend on coding completely in PES if possible. I have encountered quirks though.The first issue is regarding AS "x:Name" or PES "<FrameworkElement.Name>": If I use PES, I must make sure it is the last element, otherwise any PES below it will error on build; eg "Value of type 'System.Windows.ResourceDictionary' cannot be converted to 'Namespace.ClassName'."

I need to bind a textblock.text property to a single element in an observable collection, or array element, and have the text update using the INotifyPropertyChanged or INotifyCollectionChanged, whichever is best.
Most examples describe ways to bind listboxes or other list views to entire collections, but my application needs to update several textblocks on a screen depending on notification of a change in one or more elements of an array.

textblock2.Text = MyArray(1)...
textblock3.Text = MyArray(2)...
textblock4.Text = MyArray(3)...
Is it possible to bind a single textblock to a single array element? Is it possible to get notification of the proper type that will update one or more of the textblocks if any assigned element changes?
I Have a question about binding (pageID + PermissionID) to a checkbox/ checkboxlist, without using a textbox or any other tool. The thing is, i'm working on something just for exploration is it possible to have multiple checkboxes all bind to a different pageID but all have same permission. (lets say the permission is view-only) So when some checks a checkbox with ID 1, ,5,9,19,56 he gets view permission to those pages. when he uncheckes then they get deleted.

I would like to be able to programmatically create DataGridTemplateColumns based on my data source. For example, if my source has a date in a particular column I would like to be able to utilize a Datepicker control. I know this is easily accomplished with xaml and a DataGridTemplateColumn at design-time, however, how would I accomplish this at run-time?
Is my best option xamlreader.load or a more traditional route like:

I have a number of rewrite rules for a lot of things that I did in IIS7, like removing trailing slashes, canonnical URLs, lowercase lettering, and such. IIS altered my web.config, and everything works fine on the website, like it should. But in the Visual Studio web.config, the opening < rewrite > statement is underlined in blue, and at the bottom of VS, it says that the element 'system.webServer' has invalid child element 'rewrite'. But this is how IIS made it. I didn't do this manually. Should I be concerned with this VS error, or should I just leave as be, since it's working how it should work? I've got a form with parent-child setup. The parent displays name and other demographic info.The child displays multiple addresses, one row at a time. There can only be one primary address for a name and this is designated by a checkbox at the top of the child form.If the user wants to change the primary address to another address,then they find the other address and click on the checkbox.The form checks the other addresses and if one is found that is designated as primary,the user is warned that one already exists and prompts them to change it.
So for example, a name has 2 addresses, the 2nd being the primary address.The user wants to change the 1st address to be primary.They click on the Primary Address checkbox for the 1st address.A warning displays that there is already an address listed as primary.The user then answers the prompt to change the 1st address to the primary address.The checkbox for the 2nd address will be unchecked and the checkbox will be checked for the 1st address.My problem is getting the checkbox unchecked for the 2nd address.If I close the form and reopen, then the checkbox is unchecked.How do I refresh the checkbox for the 2nd address?Here is the code I'm using to find if an address has already been marked as primary:[code]......
I use objectbinding to display client data in a datagridview. The datagridview also contains a counry-column allowing the user to choose the country of the client.Unfortunately, databinding of comboboxcolumn does not seem to work if an own business class is used. Using a simple collection instead works well.Copy the sample code into a new windows project and the programm runs fine. Then comment and uncomment the two lines with "XXX" and the code will fail. Why and does anybody know how to make the sample code work by using the business object class(variable named "newClientListVariable" in the sample)? [code]
