Feb 14, 2012I generated SQL Server 2008 Database scripts. There are total 80 objects. The script executes successfully from sql server query. But not from .NET. That is I want to create the objects (tables and stored procedures) from there.If the database don't exist already in sql server, it fails. I have included the line
IF NOT EXIST (DATABASE)...
CREATE DATABASE DBNAME
But it simply don't work and the process fails while the code perfectly works directly in SQL Server.
Any work around this? Can I run CREATE DATABASE somehow?

Dec 14, 2011My instructor told us how to print documents and how to use databases. What the instructor did not mention is how to print or print a preview of records within a DatabaseDataSet. The book "Programming in Visual Basic 2010" does not explain how to print or do a print preview of Database Source records from within a form. The only thing I was told was to test the print document first before you try to do a print preview. Within a form I used a DataGridView to add, delete, and update the database. So now all I need to do is figure out how to print the updated records from the DataGridView and how to print a preview of the records within the DataGridView. So I hope my question is clear enough to give me assistance on how I can perform these two actions. Thanks this would be a great help, and since the class is online we can get assistance from any sources that we have.

Jul 1, 2009I am trying to print a report in vb. I have 4 columns on a report. I want to print by txtempID.text.
I have created a report viewer form and a report with 5 columns and headings on the report. I have a button on the form called PRINT. I doubled click on the button and not sure what to put in the BUTTON CLICK EVENT. Question is DO I HAVE TO POPULATE THE COLUMNS FIRST BY "TXTEMPID". and then I PRINT them on the form.

I have read NUMEROUS tutorials on how to manually print a report. As much as possible, I don't want to use the ReportViewer or Crystal Report as I already have my data loaded in a listview. My problem is, is there any other way to print a report I made (.rdlc) without the use of the reportviewer?I really need it, especially for printing sales history and similar stuff.
