I created a button instead of the print button in crystal report because i need to record the report printed report serial number, date and time to the database. when i click on the button, dialog box appear. if i click on the ok button , system record the printed report details to the database and report printed successfully. but when i click on the cancel button , system again recording the printed report record.

I have records in a database. Each record has a Picture path in it eg. "C:\Pics\Image1.jpg". I would like to display a record from my database and also the picture for that record, in a .rdlc report in vb .net 2008. i have succeded in displaying the record but just can't get the picture to show. I am using an Imagebox in the report.

how to design a report to be printed. I have a table of data, and some textboxes with more data. I save this to a file using binary formatting (it's a small amount of information).I want to be able to print this table and data onto paper but I cannot work out how to do it.Do I have to use graphics to design a report? how I can reference a report variable in the Report Properties Code Window of a local report? I have tried Variables!Claimant.Value (for a variable called Claimant) but I get an error "Reference to a non-shared member requires an object reference." I have tried qualifying it with Report. and also with the report name in front of it but I get errors with this also.I have the variable CLaimant defined in the Variables section of the Report Properties.

I recently download/Installed Crystal Report for Visual Studio 2010 to work with Visual Studio 2010 Prof. Database from SQL Sever 2008 Express. Now my problem is when I run Crystal Report Viewer - Windows form : 1st message Database Login request and otherwise WRONG RECORDS DISPLAYING which I have not in my database table.

I am using VB.Net and crystal Report in VS2008. On Crystal Report I have a database(SQL20005) Column "Address".
I have used "Can Grow" option for that Column to change. But it resizes Vertically. I want to change its Width as Address have different data.

I am using VB 2008 and want to record a start date and time and then the stop date and time in a rich text box, i can get the start time into the box but so far can only stop the time instead of 2 seperate times, what i have is a drop down box with a list of computers 1-10 i was trying to get it so you picked a certain computer and that went into the text box then you started the timer and that was recorded, finally you stopped the timer and that was recorded but as i am a total newbie it does not work

When i pass the parameter and run the report it works fine as i close the form it closes the form is there any way so that i should be able to close the crystal report viewer and pass the parameter again and should be able to view report again.

I am using crystal report to make my report. But problem is that I cant use same SQL Command there in report parameter because its different. I am going to show you my code so that you can understand it. I have a report & a form where I have one text box one button & one crystal report viewer. I have imported all fields by using report wizard. Even I have created parameter(name) there. So that user can get specific record by typing it there in the text box. However here is my code for button1:

It means it will not show student`s ID & name again & again. On the top of the report it will show student`s ID & name for once & depending on ID it will show student`s mark on report. I guess I have to use something like that Select * from result where text1.text = name of the parameter. But problem is that I cant use same command there in formula workshop.

I want to know how can I get specific record to make report? For example I have student information there in my program. Its easy to create a report of all students. but if user wants to get & print specific record of a student what should I do? I have another question to ask. I have heard it that its possible to show each specific record there in each page by using NewPageAfter or NewPageBefore. I need to know is there any way that user will select ID number from combo box & when he will click on report button it will create report of that student what has been selected from the combo box?

I have created an application using vb.net 2008 and for reports Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 but the problem is, when I run the application in another machine away from developing box, I get the Load report failed notice. I don't have any idea on how I should approach this issue. I tried installing the CRRedist2008_x86 and CRRedist2005_x86 but still the problem won't go away.

I'm having a problem with my crystal report with regards to report footer. I want to display the data from the table, column name "Remarks" in report footer but when I try to call the data it doesn't show the remarks. I'm using VB 6 and mdb files as my back end. i have tride to generate report by using in built functions of report viewer. but it disply only the default color in to the legend. in my report i am showing chart report by using student marks and their name. the chrt bar color get changed as per the students marks means if student is pass then the the report bar display with green if failed then with red color i want to show the legend with student pass and fail status but on my x axis i have given a only a marks column value and it s showing only marks lable in legend but i want to show it with their status means pass with green color and fail with red color if anybody have the answer of this query plz reply immediatly

We are using Reporting Services to generate a purchase order, which is rendered as pdf before displaying on the screen. The report works well, as is, except that now we have to add a Terms & Conditions page to every PO. I've tried placing it in the footer, setting it to display only on the last page--this didn't work. I've also tried adding it to the body, setting the "Page Break Before" property to "true". This works, except that it looks like there is still space reserved for the header (i.e. the header's "show on last page" property is set to false). I can't get the Terms & conditions to fill the page. how I could attach or bind the pdf generated by reporting services with a pdf version of the Terms & Conditions sheet?
Note: We are using ASP & VB.NET 2.0, Visual Studio 2005, & SQL Server 2005.
