Have A Program That Should Display Report Let Say From A Date To Date?

I have a program that should display report let say from a date to date. but i am using string compare and not date compare. what is my problem is it is not displaying the correct output and always shows a dialog box that request parameter.-how do i make so that the default parameter box not showing?-how do i make the report display the output correctly?-the connections always show "logon failed" and need to be refreshed everytime i want to display the report.

i am using date time picker and i am selecting 1 date from calender.after selection of that date i want to refresh date time picker i.e. it should display todays date.
I am calculating a date for employees to resume work.Now if the date for instance falls on friday, that means the employee has to reutrn to work the next day which will be saturday.This is rigth but what i want is even though the return date falls on weekend, i want to be able to shift the date to the next working day ..Monday for example.so that it will not show that the employee has to return on any weekend day if there falls one.But rather a working day Monday Date.[code]....
I am creating a program that will use sql 2008 as a back end and have run into an issue passing the date from the program to the database, where the date is also listed as 1900-01-01 in the database.The data type in the database is smalldatetime and i am trying to only display the date.If i change the datatype to date in the database i get the error that "sqlunhandled exception: Operand type clash: int is incompatible with date" Ideally id like to display the date in a dd/mm/yyyy format.[code].........

That's what it looks like so far. I was wondering how you can automate the top label so it automatically comes up with the date when the program is run.Plus, I need to know how to display the dates difference (how many days have elapsed between the system date and the user's chosen date) in the bottom label.
I created a button instead of the print button in crystal report because i need to record the report printed report serial number, date and time to the database. when i click on the button, dialog box appear. if i click on the ok button , system record the printed report details to the database and report printed successfully. but when i click on the cancel button , system again recording the printed report record.

This is my first program and have absolutely no training in programming Visual Basic Studio 2008 so forgive me if I have missed something obvious.Form3 contains a StartDate(Date Time Picker1)and EndDate(Date Time Picker2) with a button1 which launches a Form4 containing a report( Microsoft Report Veiwer)
I have been able to generate a report but it gives me everything in the database instead of date range selected.I have tried generating queries,stored procedures and writing additional code but nothing seems to work.( Though I may of but them in the wrong place)

I am having a bit of an issue with a reporting tool I have in a program in VB.Net.when I select a date for the report all returns properly but when I want to print that report it returns all the information ecept does not carrie over the tempStr of totalcost, totalexpense and totalprofit onto the second page of the report....it only calculates the few entrys on the second page..
I have a report based on a query which requires the user to input the date range. I would like this date range to be a label in the report header. Which shows both the date and time an entry was made. For the previous reports I would run Yearly reports Display the Day ,month and year entered in a parameter query. At present I am trying to run a report for the period "Jan 1 2010 to Dec 31 2010" and would like a formula that would display "Jan 1 2010 to Dec 31 2010" in the report header.

"2010-08-02", I'm trying to convert it to UTC with the following code snippet..DateTime.ParseExact("2010-08-02Z", "yyyy-MM-ddZ", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture)When I print to the console, I get the following: 8/1/2010 5:00:00 PM.Is there a reason why the date shows up as the date before the date I'm trying to parse? I have an error when converting a text string to date, I've tried all the date conversions I can think of and still get the same error (cdate, date.parse and Convert.ToDateTime) this happens after I export an RDLC report to a PDF. As you can see in the below code, there are 2 identical variables called newDate1 and newDate2, one being declared before the render and the other being declared after the render. The first one works no problem but the second one I get the error: Conversion from string "16/02/2011" to type 'date' is not valid. This now becomes a program wide error and affects every date conversion done in the program, this problem remains until the program is restarted.
In short: CDate converts MM/DD/YYYY no problem, but after a PDF export it tries to convert to DD/MM/YYYY which gives an error

I'm fairly new to ASP.NET & VB.I've been asked to take an existing textbox that is automatically filled with the current date and allow the user to either add a "+" or "-" and a number or a spcific number and convert that into a date.I underdstand the basic concept on how to do this, but I'm running into some problems using the proper commands in order for this to work.The Textbox is called txtDate.What I've tried to do is this:

I have an access form that shows a data table. when the form is opened, I want to filter the data in the date column to show only the records that don't have a date entered into the field.
I need a function that would return true if the date provided was a payday or date of next few weeks paydays.Paydays are every 14 days on a Friday (not twice a month).I tried several attempts, but don't have a clue where to start, except that the function needs a reference date to calculate from. I am attempting to import data in a batch from an Excel Worksheet to a Sql Server database. Everything works except for the one date field in the spreadsheet. The date returned is off by four years from the value in the spreadsheet. Example: The Excel sheet has a date 10/24/2010 14:18, but when I look at the column in my query, the date is 10/23/2006 2:18. This pattern, 4 years and 1 day earlier, is repeated for every row in the worksheet.
The Excel column comes to me as a custom type, formatted m/d/yyyy h:mm. I receive this from an outside vendor and having them change the column is not going to be my simplest solution.

I can do this on the SQL side or the code side. I have Linq at my disposal if I need it. The table doesn't need to be compiled by SQL. This will happen dynamically on a website and should be as efficient as possible.I don't want to have to iterate through each and look for breaks in contiguous days if I don't have to.

I want to display a date in a textbox after 25/02/2009
I Used a sql query for getting a next date
Select CONVERT(CHAR(10), DATEADD(dd, 1, MAX(SDate)), 103) AS SDate from tb_Sched_Add
the above query is displaying a next date 26/02/2009 in the textbox, but it is taking a some second to display. There is any way in program itself getting a last value of the row (date) in datagridview and display the next date.
Would it be possible to search a table, confining to a specific date range based on a date-time column, and get a count of the 10 most used words in a particular var-char column excluding a list of words?All in SQL?Currently I am pulling out the records that match and sorting through the contents outside of SQL, I would think where I can do it directly on the server it would be more efficient.(SQL 2008)
