Probably a silly question but is it possible in Excel or VB to drag a charts point(s) ?I had a quick look at the object "Points"(part of Series Collection object) methods and saw there was a "Select" function.
I have a P/L chart which has a left scale (Y axis) which starts from a negative value. I want to format the axis labels (the major tick mark labels) so that the negative ones are red. Something like;
If cht.ChartAreas(chtarea).AxisX.MajorTickMark.Value < 0 Then cht.ChartAreas(chtarea).AxisY.LabelStyle.Font = New Font("Verdana", 9.0F, FontStyle.Bold, Color.Red)

Of course that doesn't work since MajorTickMark doesn't have a value property. How does one make this work?
I am having trouble in getting the coordinates of x-axis and y-axis in low level ouse hook...all I am getting is values in x-axis listbox and in y-axis listbox I am getting zeros......why? and my second problem is I am calling the setcursorpos function in a for loop because I want to automate mouse movements and clicks, but setcursorpos function is not working , maybe because I am getting the coordinates wrong.....here is my code

I am having some major problems with the code in VBA and recording a macro didn't get me anywhere nor is the VBA help file. I have to have it so that I can input a values for the x axis rotation and the y axis rotation so that my 3d surface graph will rotate whatever values I input, the 3d surface graph will rotate those degrees. I also have to have a method for having the default rotation. I was also wondering how to put scroll bars for the x and y rotation. The only other thing I am having trouble with is having an input to check box for right angle axes. So far I have two cells for entering the x rotation value and the y rotation value. I also already have my 3d surface graph.
I have the smallest dataset in the world that simply consists of a month (text) and and amount. I want to produce a chart showing the month along the y-axis and the value up the x-axis. How do I do it? I have dragged the chart control onto the report page and populated the dataset. The chart shows but nothing like what I would expect. Just to make it simple I populated the dataset with an amount equivalent to the month number so it should show as 1 in January, 2 in Feb etc...However no matter where I drag the dataset's column names I don't get what I want. Where am I going wrong?

i have a function which accepts a date and two byte variables. However when the function is called the date value passed to the function comes from a datepicker in the format of (dd/MM/yyyy). I noticed that the date parameter is changing the format to (MM/dd/YYYY).
i want the date value to remain in the format of (dd/MM/yyyy), i have enclosed by function.[code...]
I have written Outlook Add-in which opens an our http link to do some important work. It is working fine but has some inconsistencies and performance issue with it. Though my code does cleanup, after few invocations of that link from my Add-in toolbar button, Outlook gets non-responsive for few seconds and then it comes back to normal but doesn't open http link.

I am new to Visual 2010 and cannot seem to find any information about using Charts.I have an array, call it PressureOutputs(1000), which I wish to plot against a second array,e(1000).Can anyone please explain how I would add these two arrays to create a series on an x-y scatter graph (which is already present on the Windows Form Application), or point me to a source of information about how to do this?
I'm trying to get my head around excel charts. I've poured over these posts for the last couple of days now and i'm coming up dry. I've got a xl file thats got some data in the first 2 columns. I want to put the data in an XY scatter plot. Column A is the x coordinates and b is the Y.[code]...
Under VB2 I could create a form with many charts (One form had 12 graphs). You could define the chart once and cut and paste it the required number of times on the form. Each chart had an index and the code used the index to create and update the desired chart with the appropriate x,y data. Is it possible to do this in VB2010?
My project that I had built used spreadsheets and charts within the forms to provide the user with the necessary data. This worked fine for VB2008 as it had all of the ActiveX office web components built into it. It seems that VB2010 has a different set of base components and emphasis office 14.0. I was wondering how people have gotten around this or if they can. I tried using DataGridView, but it doesn't seem to be able to do what I want to do. I need the ability to have users enter data into a table and then use that information to be able to build graphs real-time based on their data.

I have a database with one table.I'd like to populate an array with the values in the table so that I can work with the data.How do I copy the data from the table to the array?I am able to view the data with a DataGridView but can't find any info on extracting the data to an array or variable.
I have a form with two seperate charts placed on top of each other.I am trying to set up a toggle button that works in sequence i.e. loads second graph over first on click. When clicked the second time it loads the first one and so on.I realise i can do this by making one visible then making it not visible but i am having troubles with the circular click requirement.
Is there a way to conditionally format an Excel Chart? For example I have a bar graph. Currently I have the bars a purple color. I would like to turn a certain bar red if it meets certain criteria. Is there anyway to do this?
