Import Dynamic Charts From Excel In Forms?
Apr 14, 2010I am using VB for developing a GUI. I need to display charts in the VB form. How do I invoke Excel 2003 using VB and import the charts created in it.
Steps:
1) Getting input from the user using VB form and processing it in VB or external application such as Matlab.
2) Over-Write the processed data in excel sheet.
3) Modify the charts based on the new data which I believe will happen automatically.
4) Display the chart in the VB form.
Refresh Charts Displaying Dynamic External Data?
Nov 10, 2010I have an array of data which is currently updating itself every 10seconds from when my spreadsheet is opened as you can see from the VBA module code given below, that is fine but the charts that I have created manually from the data are not updating themselves as the data changes. When I change the data by editing a number in the range etc. then surely enough the chart updates. Is there any code available which will refresh the chart I have made automatically say every 15 seconds, giving a 5 interval breathing space between the data and chart update?
The code I have attempted to resolve the problem in the Sub AllWorkbookCharts () doesn't work as there is a problem with the refresh part of it.

Adding Series To Charts?
Sep 16, 2011I am new to Visual 2010 and cannot seem to find any information about using Charts.I have an array, call it PressureOutputs(1000), which I wish to plot against a second array,e(1000).Can anyone please explain how I would add these two arrays to create a series on an x-y scatter graph (which is already present on the Windows Form Application), or point me to a source of information about how to do this?

Jul 29, 2011I have a user control which I load dynamically inside a page using for...each loop calling loadcontrol.
Inside that usercontrol, there is a textbox and a button for searching.
When the btnSearch is clicked, another usercontrol will open but this time it is a popup. This popup contains the search result.
Now the problem is, if I have my program created 5 controls in the loop, the search button in the usercontrol only functions on the first display. The other 5 usercontrols loaded have search buttons that only refreshes the page instead of calling the popup.
The codes for search are inside the btnSearch of the usercontrol.
H9ow can I make the other dynamically added controls work and not only on the first instance?

Oct 27, 2010What to use for adding multiple attachment to a email. I'm using VB 2010.
First, I have a Form in my company web site to fill a reclamation ..... when you fill and send it, it convert the form into a PDF, save it in the client side "TEMP" and finally get the PDF and send it to a email..... that's perfectly fine. I add to the form the capability of attach multiple files with file upload to the same "TEMP" and displayed in a Grid View to remove or add files and send everything to a email, the attachment capability is working. Everything is working with the PDF not the files(attachments).
There is a way to get the multiple files from the "TEMP" folder and add it to some dynamically variable (array list, attachment collection, list collection, etc.) so all can be send to the email. I already know the way to put it into the email with the PDF.
The problem is to get the files and add it to the dynamic variable and that it work with the email. If the code is need it.

But the install only works on the machine it was built on, if I take them out it installs but no graphs. How can I get this to install on all machines?

Nov 9, 2010I have successfully created excel application, workbook, worksheet and graphs in excel through vb.net, but I am not able to choose which data to plot on teh x-axis when I plot graphs.I don't really know how to do this even in excel itself, and googling did not help at all...how to create a graph with desired values on the x axis in excel through vb.net, that would be nice.

I have it kind of sorted, only not: Button click tabpage1 send to back() or hide() tabpage2 show() The problem with this, is it does not actually turn the page, and the tabpage1 tab still shows at the top. Decimals: Epically basic, I guess. I have calculations that does, for example: 10/6 = 1.666666666667 How do I get it to say 1.667 only?

May 7, 2010Recently I have learned visual basic 2008 express edition and developed programs for data crunching and analysis. The VB 2008 express edition has microsoft visual studio 2008 v. 9.0.30729.1 SP and .NET Framework version 3.5 SP1. Now I want to create x-Y (date-Y value) graphs using the crunched data stored in an array list simulating a data base access. I download and installed the "Microsoft Chart Control for .NET Framework " and try to learn to use it within the VB 2008 express edition using the tutorial. It seems that the chart control did not get installed?
1. Do I need at VB 2008 professional to allow using the chart control?
2. Why after installing chart control, there is no change on the items under the NET components within the Toolbox>ChooseItem>.
3. How do I get to use the chart control under VB 2008 express edition.
4. Any code available to generate versatile graphics without using the chart control? Because the chart control has tons of classes already it seems the best is to just use the existing and downloadable chart control?
