VS 2008 POST Multipart Form Data?

Jun 12, 2009

I am trying to post data to a multipart form. The problem right now is that I cannot determine the boundary of the data. The only way to find it is to actually POST some data (as far as I know). The boundary also changes each POST for a single static page.Is there a way to find the post data boundary?

Declaring A Report Parameter Makes The Whole Function Get Skipped

Aug 24, 2009

If I comment the paramList line, I see the "CreateDetailedReport()" message box, but if I uncomment it, the message box never appears - there are no errors or anything, it simply seems to not run the function. On my development machine it works properly, but this odd behavior is seen on the target machine.

[code...]

Any reason why this would make the line before it not run - even without producing an error,o
crashing, or something?

C# - Calling .FindByType Makes VB6 Error Out - Function Or Interface Marked As Restricted

Oct 19, 2010

Possible Duplicate: Function or interface marked as restricted, or the function uses an Automation type not supported in Visual Basic.

Basically, im just searchign for uPnP devices using the uPNPDeviceFinder classes .FindByType method, .FindByUDN works, but FindByType gives an error:VB6 gives a compile error when I attempt to call the method:

Function or interface marked as restricted, or the function uses an Automation type not supported in Visual Basic.

why i am getting it. I am referencing and using the upnp.dll file as found in yoru system32 directory - when i reference and use this in VS2010 (say, vb.net) it all works and no issues are found, but in VB6, i get the error above.

IDE - My.Application.Info.Version.Build Returns Wrong Value

Mar 6, 2009

We're using team build with AssemblyInfoTask to increment the build number in a nightly build. The build number is displayed in the application using My.Application.Info.Version.Build.This has been working fine for years. But since we branched the sources and started using file references instead of project references (have no idea if that's what causes the problem), the last build number is displayed instead of the current one.

The compiled files (dll's and exe's) have the correct build number, if checked by right clicking the file in Explorer and viewing detailed properties. However when the same exe-file is executed, the UI displays the previous build number. If I edit the AssemblyInfo.vb file manually (just set another number, save the file, and set it back again), both file properties in Explorer and the UI at runtime displays the correct build number. How can this happen? What can be done to avoid this strange behavior?

Using SQL Function To Format Account Info?

Oct 3, 2011

I have a SQL function that I am calling in my VB.Net code within a display function. The SQL function will format my account data to include the following results form a Table. The table data: "001000011121" (this is the type of structure the data has before formatted)
So the data table data and vb Properties would be called Myaccount, HerAccount, ThisAccount. Once the data is pulled and then formatted in the VB.net code it will result into a GridDisplay as as: "001.00.001.1121"

The way I have my Public Function in my code is:
Public Funcion GetDisplay(_
ByVal dbBass as DataProvider_
,ByVal pps AS TMGDatarequestParms_
,By filter As IFilter_
) As Ilist
Dim strobe As String = CType(parms.OptionalParameters, DataProvider).Database
Dim sql As BiGSqlBuilder(TABLE)
sql.Select = String.Format("ID, [{0}].dbo.GLForamtAcct(Myaccount) AS [Myaccount], [{0}].dbo.GLFormatAccount(HerAccount) AS [HerAccount], [{0}].dbo.GLFormatAccount(ThisAccount) AS [ThisAccount]", strobe)

I left out some of the return code since not necessary. The only thing I'm concerned is how to format the SQL within the VB.net Code above.

.net - Calculate A New Date Simply By Using The Build-in Dateadd Function?

Oct 14, 2009

I would like to calculate a new date simply by using the build-in dateadd function, but take into account that only weekdays should be counted (or 'business days' so to speak).I have come up with this simple algorithm, which does not bother about holidays and such. I have tested this with some simple dates, but would like some input if this can be done in better ways. This sample assumes a week with 5 business days, monday-friday, where first day of the week is monday. Dateformatting used here is d-m-yyyy, the sample calculates with a startdate of october 1, 2009.

Here is the simple form:

Dim d_StartDate As DateTime = "1-10-2009"
Dim i_NumberOfDays As Integer = 12
Dim i_CalculateNumberOfDays As Integer

.innertext To Complete Multipart/form-data Not Working?

Jun 14, 2009

im trying to complete some data to upload to my site via my program the following code Private Sub Button11_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button11.Click

[Code]...

i have this to basically complete a form i used getelementid but it never completes i think its due to the form type, on my first button in webbrowser1 i have similiar code which logs me in and it works fine although this form is a <form id="form" enctype="multipart/form-data"> form, should this stop me from completing it with .innertext ? due to the enctype? i would also like to be able to user innertext and take it from a TextBox9.text

how do i get around this to complete these values, my code shows no errors it just navigates to the page and dosent complete anything, button1 logins fine and the code is almost identical, except for obvious differences http address etc code edited slightly posted old unfunctional version, this is now what i have, still unfunctional but makes more sense i think

Change Function To Build Byte Array Rather Than Concatenating String For TCP Sockets?

Jan 5, 2010

I've been trying to reuse my bosses vb.net buildpacket code which he has successful used for Serial programming eg. SerialPort1.Write(buildpacket(useraddress,252,"0006","0") for the function listed below. My challenge.Create equivalent functionality for Socket BeginSend() which requires a byte array.Whether modifying the vb.net below or getting a c# equivalent to work, it has been repeatedly recommended to scrap the string concatenation approach for which I have to use Encoding.BigEndianUnicode.GetBytes() and then getting rid of extra bytes with zero values.

I'm lacking in imaging something different which would work for socket programming directly and allow me to eliminate all the hassles that c# integer conversions into string value that can be encoded trouble free.I would need to call the equivalent of the following that would return a byte array rather than a string with the following arguments

1. Source address (0-255)
2. Destination address (0-255)
3. Function code ("0001" through "0100")
4 Packet Data Unit (pdu - some integer value
