View 1 RepliesI'm using a TLP and it contains controls that exceeds it's height, so it's normal for a vertical scrollbar to be displayed. So far so good, but i can't figure out why a horizontal scrollbar is also being displayed when my controls width do not exceed that of the TLP. Is there some way to remove this horizontal scrollbar?

As I used rowstyle property and it works
But the issues are
1) It works very slow
2) It seems as form is vibrating and lightning behind the panel when rows are hiding or showing(jerky motion of hiding or showing)
I also used the control .visible property for each control of the row but it also make same problem of being slow
I have a listbox populated with peoples names. When I click on a persons name in the listbox, a datagrid will unhide itslef, connect to a DB, and list all of the pictures that person has. All the pictures are stored on a drive in a folder named after the person. i.e.

I would like to display all of those pictures in a Table Layout Panel populated by the choice I made in the listbox, so if I select Greg Palinkas, the Data Grid is pupulated with the names of all the images i have, and the Table Layout Panel is populated with all the pictures I have in my GregPalinkasImages folder. I have got the Data Grid updating and running smoothly, but am lost as to how to get the images to come up.

View 4 RepliesI thought this would be easy but for some reason it's giving me a rough time. I have a windows form with three equal size panels on it. Each panel takes up about 1/3 of the window width, less some inter-panel spacing.
The effect I want is if the user stretches or shrinks the form the panels maintain their relative 1/3 width and spacing, similar to how divs on an html page would size as the browser window is sized.
So I anchored the left panel to left, top and bottom, the center panel to top and bottom, and the right panel to top, bottom and right. This works fine in keeping the left and right panel anchored to their respective sides, and all panels now stretch with a form height change.
So in form resize I adjust the width of each panel to form.width/3. As expected this is close but does not account for the inter-panel margins I want to preserve and the form border width.
I played around with various constants and noting I do gives me the desired effect.I'm sure there is a pretty straight forward solution to this but I can't seem to find it.
How to make the form size automatic setting the size equals to the screen. or Maximize the whole form including the form components.

When I minimize a child form, it apprears at the bottom with the form buttons (minimize, restore and maximize) and just about 2 or 3 characters of the Title Text. I would like to have more of the title text showing so the user can figure out what window he wants to restore if he has a couple of them minimized. If not that, is there a way to have a "tooltip" popup when I move the mouse over the minimized form.
View 2 RepliesI have created a (kind of) 'Desktop' Form for the main basis of my program. Basically it is made up of 3 panel controls.
1. Holds all buttons which load the different forms (Like the windows start menu when expanded). name: StartMenuPanel
2. Holds Information on log in deatails. name: LogCheckPanel (very thin panel at top of screen)
3. Main panel which takes up the majority of the screen (where I want the forms to load). name: MainPanel
My aim is: When a button is clicked from the 'StartMenuPanel' the form will load with-in the 'MainPanel'.
I tried changing the start position to 'centre parent', but the panels are in the way so some of the childform is overlayed by the panels.

I'm having all kinds of problems from scroll bars popping up, to can't get the form to fill the parent. Pretty sure I have tried every possible combination in the forms properties 10 times.

I have a table (Projects) which is linked to projectVersions on projectID..projectVersions contains several columns on which I'd like to filter a returned project (and associated projectVersions) list. For example there is a "capacity" column and a "country" column. I am doing a filtered list of projects on one page and I'd like to include all projects where any one of the associated projectVersions has a capacity of 750ml and a country of "France" for example.It may be that a particular parameter is not set and so I pass a zero to indicate not to filter on that.I guess this needs some kind of subquery as when I try and do something like this: [code] it doesn't work as the "xxx" bit, being one-to-many, expects me to specify an item to get at the entities within and yet I want to query where ANY of the associated versions match one of the criteria.

i want to make it so my toolstriptextbox will smoothly size with the form as i resize it. I tried using a timer and just say txtbox1.width = me.size.width - 100 or whatever space for the buttons and handling it for when it reaches negative numbers (with autosize off on the textbox) but its not at all smooth.

The user needs to insert information and close the form. Sometimes the user is not near his machine so whenever there is a new mail I am adding new controls and modify the child size.
It has been successful using the Form.show() method but not in showdialog() i cant add controls and change the form size can someone please help on the subject?

I want a set of child forms to keep their relative sizes and locations to their parent form when parent form is resized. So if one child form is opened and covers the lower right quadrant.. it will remain a quadrant for whatever resize is done on parent form.
View 3 RepliesI have a program with three tabs. On tab one I use a folder browser dialogue and load file names into a listbox. These are usually ".tif" image files but could be other image formats. I save the folder location in a variable. On tab 2 I have a Flow Layout Panel. I need to 1) use that folder location on tab 1 as the source of files to be loaded into the flow layout panel and have it do so when I use the Folder Browser Dialogue; 2) I need to click on these tab2 images (in the Flow Layout Panel) to select them, and to trigger events. Mainly create a list of selected image thumbnails.
View 3 RepliesI have been trying to understand how to make thumbnails that I create from a directory, and place in a flow layout panel, selectable. That is, when someone klicks one of the thumbnails that thumbnail should be selected and, either automatically or by the click of a button, a new window (picture viewer) opens and shows the original picture. This is probably very easy to implement, but I am at a loss for the moment.I've tried to find an answer to this by searching the forums, but nothing good has been found so far.

The above code works perfectly and creates thumbnails from the directory c: emp and whatever subdirectory the user writes in the textbox (textbox2). No problem here, it is how to proceed to the next level that has got me stumped. As stated I want the user to be able to select one of the thumnails to get a better look at it in another window. So in selecting it, the procedure should get the path to the original image, and the rest is magic.
