I have a field which is static and readonly. The requirement is that the value should be allocated to the field at the login time and after that it should be readonly. How can i achieve this ?

It seems that VB.NET and C# readonly keyword have some differences... Say, a ReadOnly property in C# can be assigned in some conditions, but in VB.NET - never?

Probably a simple question for most of you. I'm putting members of a group into a SQL Database so we can better manage attendance and 'points' that they earn for doing work. I've written the program in VB and have the SQL server running fine. However, I have created a separate table to handle the points and have marked the relationship between the table - the column is named 'PointID', and should be unique for each person. When I add a new user to the database, I want it to automatically assign a value to that without me having to do anything extra beyond pressing save. From this PointID, it should identify the user and it will bring up the person's points.

I am using a PropertyGrid control to edit my class properties and I am trying to set certain properties read-only depending on other property settings.This is the code of my class:

The problem is that when I set SomeProperty to True, nothing happens and when I then set it to False again it sets all properties Read-Only.
Admin assigns the authority and get a new form to the new assign in with vb.net & access. I am not sure about this,I need a way to do the new form assigned? How?Actually, this project is the admin will assign the authority to a manager, and the manager will get the password to log in. I am rewriting a C# class in VB. The C# class has a static constructor in it:

which, through the Call Stack, I found is called by the main window's InitializeComponent() method.Everywhere I've looked has told me that the corresponding static constructor in VB is just:Shared Sub New()
but this method is never invoked. Am I creating my VB static constructor right? Is it likely something else that has nothing to do with my static constructor?

I have a textbox.In its onclick iam calling a javascript fn to call calendar.Texbox is readonly. Clicking on textbox calendar is coming and value is showing in textbox.
