I have a form with some labels. If the labels equal certain text, then I want the font size of the label to change. For example, if the text reads "apple",I want the font size of the label to be 16.If the text reads "banana", I want the font size of the label to be 8.This has to occur during runtime without any clicking of the label.I have an idea of the code I want to write in order for this to work, but I need to know where to put the code for the labels.I cannot put this under Label_Click or Form_Load.Where can I put this code so that it works for the labels during runtime?

I want to change the font on a button to bold after certain conditions exist during runtime.
I tried
Col1Button.Font.Bold =
True
The autocomplete allows me to type it, but it doesn't work. There is an underline under the IDE code. Font is apparently a "Read-Only"property. Is there a way to make it a changable property?

I have 2 listbox controls FontNameList containing all of the installed fonts on my PC and FontSizeList containing some numbers to be used as fontsize and I use the execommand and build my App but the font did not change instead it grew bigger but when I tryed to change it back it stayed the same. The Code for that was:

I use a fontdialog box in my application allowing users to change the font details within my application. This works fine but unfortunatly I don't seem to be able to set the values in the dialogbox as they are read only.
Basically if the user has Bold Wingdings set and wishes to change it to something else then when they open up the fontdialog box I would like to be able to set the font to wingdings and bold so the user can see what they previously selected. Word seems to do this so why cant I?

I'm developing a Windows Forms Application in Visual Basic .NET with Visual Studio 2008.
I'm trying to compose fonts (Family name, font size, and the styles) at runtime, based on user preferences, and apply them to labels.
For the sake of both a simplier user interface, and compatibility between more than one machine requiring to use the same font, I'll NOT use the InstalledFontCollection, but a set of buttons that will set few selected fonts, that I know to be present in all machines (fonts like Verdana).
So, I have to make a Public Sub on a Module that will create fonts, but I don't know how to code that. There are also four CheckBoxes that set the styles, Bold, Italic, Underline and Strikeout.
How should I code this? The SomeLabel.Font.Bold property is readonly, and there seems to be a problem when converting a string like "Times New Roman" to a FontFamily type. (It just says it could not do it)
Like on
Dim NewFontFamily As FontFamily = "Times New Roman"

I am trying to convert a value from a radio list box that is populated by an access database. The database loads fine, I have no trouble with that. My issue is that I am trying to take the value of the radio button chosen and turn it into a font color. Therein lies my problem. I see that it cannot be a string, but when I turn it into an object, I get an error. I will note that I am using VS 2008 (Windows Vista x64), and the database is compatible with a 2002 - 2003 Access database. I am using ASP.NET for my programming, however, I am trying to program it in VB. This is my code:

How do I make it so that each item in a listbox can have a different font color? This is the only basic code i know that can change the font color of the listbox items. When I go to add a 2nd item and set the color, the first item in the listbox also changes to that color, I don't want that.
ListBox1.ForeColor = ColorDialog1.Color

I have a list box being populated from a text file. If I have the listbox's font a fixed width font (Courier New) then the ends of a few entries get cut off (strings are 105 and 107 in length), but when I change he font to a none fixed width font (Verdana), the entire string shows.
If I make the listbox wider than that of the longest entry (with fixed width font) then the entire string shows.Just wondering if anyone had an explanation for this behavior.

how to change the following lv font color base on the values?
For example: If the values are negative in red color, positive in green.
ListView1.Items(ListView1.Items.Count -
1).SubItems.Add(CDbl(reader("Close").ToString) - (reader("Open").ToString))
Also, I am having a problem on rounding the decimal place value on the above code.
For example:
If the result comes out xx.xx, then the my lv shows the value as xx.xxxxxxxxx. Actually I would like it to display only 2 decimal places.

I have a RTB (RTB1). I have a "change font" button which allow the user to change the font of what ever text is selected in RTB1. It works just fine. Now I have added a second RTB on the same form. Of course that original "change font" button does not work because it works on RTB1, not RTB2. I know I could put a second button to change font in RTB2, but I would like a more elegant solution. How can I tell which RTB box I was in when i clicked on the "Change font" button?

I'm working on a project for school. One part of the assignment is to change the font of the value in a textbox, the font on a label, etc. Which I can do. However, I wanted to add a feature that restores the original values. I was having trouble knowing what to call that or how to access that info.
I'm using the FontDialog box. So I can have the user select a font and change whatever I let them. But I want to have a reset button or something that sets it back the way it was. How do I access that value?
