i have 10 rows in datagrid view i use V S 2010 How can i change a backcolor of odd and even rows different.i try my best but i has one error that is Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index
how can i make a single column backcolor after all rows backcolor is set

Well i just tried to turn Rows cells that contain the word Yes into green on form load when i put that code into a button it worked but on a form load i didn't work !

Using Visual Basic,change the backcolor of the upper left header cell (.rows(-1).columns(-1)) of a DataGridView? I would like to use a different color to indicate to the user that he/she can right click a row or column header to access the Context Menu Strip. Not all of my DGVs use a CMS, so I would like to highlight its availability for the specific DGV.

I bring data in from an access database using a sql query and then assign the data to a datagrid view. When i try to delete data from the table, it is removed from the datagrid, but the change is not showing up in the actual table.As a second question, is there a way to tag the specific row and send that back to the actual database for deletion? The way i have it set now, i think would delete all instances where digit, day, and office match, instead of just the selected record.

I have a client who needs a database to display products.He would like to have the product attributes in the rows headers and new records added to the columns. I have a collection of a class that would contain the products and am binding it as a data source. however all I can get is the attributes to show up in the columns and the records to show up in the rows.

I'm faced with another issue I would like to have resolved. I have filled my dataset with records from a table and successfully displayed it in a DataGrid. Next i would like to change the background color of certain rows or records in the datagrid using values from a column. E.g assuming my first column stores numeric values, I would like to have records where value in column greater than 6 have it background changed to a different color.

i have datagridview populated with stock code, name and description.And i have docked my datagridview to the bottom. so whenever the form is resized, the bottom section will be occupied completely with the datagridview.But i want to display one extra empty column and multiple empty rows to completely fill in the datagridview.The extra empty column width will be adjusted to the right end side of datagridview.And the no of empty rows will be generated based on how many is required to fill up to the bottomSo that i can create datagridview with full column and row even though some columns or rows are empty.

ive added a special color for some items into a listview, that was the only reason i picked up a listview over a listbox btw, anyways when i sort the items into that listview the items backcolor simply does not exist anymore, is there anyway i can still sort the items out and avoid this problem?
The only way i know right now is to add loops and numbers as reference and then setting those numbers as colors reference, then erasing them and add the backcolor, this is not viable to performance at all

What I am trying to do basically is open an access query in a datagrid view and then be able to make changes to the datagrid and then save it back to the database.When I try to save:

It says that update is not a member of the tableadapter... Why is that?

I'm building an app that is a basic daytimer type of app. My problem is that I can't get the textbox(Textbox1) backcolor and text to change when I need it to. For instance, if there are events for January 12 and the user clicks on the Jan 12 link in the Calendar control, if there are any events in the SQL table for that day it should populate the appropriate times. The funny, or not so funny, thing is that I have another textbox named "TheEvent" that I can change the backcolor and text on with the code below and it works fine.[code]...

I have a problem with changing the color of a button (in vb.net). I have searched the web and plenty of people are willing to tell me HOW TO change the color but my problem is - it doesn't. I have a databound combo box column. When a value in another field starts with an 8, I want to make the combo box read-only and turn the background gray so the user knows it is read-only.
