I'm trying to change a code for text justification so that it works for urdu editor. The problem is when i justify code the alignment changes to left side. I mean cursor moves to the left side of rtb. In code the value of PFM_ALIGNMENT is set to 8. I wanna know what it means and if i hav to change then what value shud i use for making cursor stay at right side of rtb.

It'd be nice to be able to have [for example] white text on a black background. It'd be easier on the eyes for lengthy reading sessions.No crops were circled, or animals mutilated in the making of this sig.
View 3 RepliesI have this problem every so often in VS2010. What will happen is I'll be working along and run the program then stop debugging. When I get back to text editor to change something the cursor will be stuck. It won't let me move it with the arrow keys and I can't type anything in. I can move it with the mouse but when I do that I still can't type anything in at the new position. The only way to get this to go away is to close out VS2010 and restart it again.

I have seen this in many urdu applications, when we install, we simply run them without changing any settings.
I have created a winform with a text box on.The localization of form is True and the language is Urdu. I want to type urdu language in the text box. he RightToLeft has also been set. But when I type, text flows from right to left but it is in english.
View 3 RepliesI understand how a usual map maker/editor works. I have one that I have been tweaking with on and off for the past 2 years. It gets xPosition, yPosition, and which tile to place. However, I have been running over the problem I had last time I left it...how to apply a zPosition (to determine which layer a specific tile is on). From what I know the typical map consists of a 2D array of tiles, but not only loading the first array would you load multiple arrays for each layer needed for a particular map?
I have yet to find something that explains how a multi-dimensional/layered map array is supposed to work, or how to load multiple layers at once with transparency to allow for the bottom layers to come through. I don't need any code here, just an opinion if I am thinking about this the right way, and what terms I can look up to find out more.

I introduced space between text area only coz I cud not write it other wise in this forum.. in my code there is no space. But I cannot change the value of textare using my code behind file.
When you click a button on my form, it opens a folder dialog box & gets the selected path, then changes a label's text to state that it's starting to process the directory then it goes ahead & opens a new streamwriter & continues on into my other sub for listing directories..roblem is the label isn't changing before it does it's processing, I figure that is because it's processing to fast to actually display the text. Even if processing the directory takes a minute or more the label won't ever change, which should have happened before it started processing the directory.
View 5 RepliesI just cannot work this out so is it different in C# for VB in VS. Lets say you have added a control (does not matter what control) to a form, go to the 'View Code' of the form. In VB at the top of the source window below the Tabs of your project you see on the left a Class Name combobox (Type in C#) in VB you can select the control you just added, now in the right Members Name combobox (Members in C#) in vb i can select a member I want to add lets say Click event, this will be added to the project but in C# it just cannot be done?
The reason for this is that I have a Usercontrol that Shadows/New delegate thingy in C# TextChanged event I can easily Select this member in VB but not in C# do I have to add the event manually e.g. [Code] In VB I get a Handles event, Any ideas?
if any one knowes please tell me that how can i use urdu in my project mean that after my compiling a project it also usefull for my clients and they can use urdu in software created by me.

View 2 RepliesI'm fairly new to VB.NET, and I'm working on a text editor with a tabbed interface. I deal with large text files. Should I have each tab / text document open up in a new thread or a process? I basically want the entire application to always run fast as the text editor is just one part of it. If I have several large text files open I don't want the rest of the application slowing down a bit.

I'm adding a method to find and select text in my text editor. Everything worked fine, including the ability to find all instances of the text. My problem came when I tried to make it more user-friendly (doesn't it always?). Originally I had only a menu item with a shortcut( Ctrl + F) which invoked an input box.
Then I added a textbox and a button (similar to that seen in a web browser's Find() method) that calls the method in the same manner as the Find/Replace menu option and displays the desired text in the textbox. Everything works fine except that the text is not selected. I have MessageBoxes displaying the values of required variables in 3 places (marked ***FOR DEBUG ONLY***) to make sure that no values are being changed, but all variables are the same. The method still locates the text, but it is not highlighted.
I think it could have something to do with which object has focus. (When I click the button, the selected text loses focus?). But if I click everything with the menu items, it still works...

However, the Report a Bug function does not work, which in itself is a major bug.While I am typing in the code editor, these annoying popups keep popping up and completely blocking my view of the code. I have no idea what these popups are showing and do not need them. I have not been able to find any way of turning them off. I consider this another major bug.
View 7 RepliesI don't think the problem lies within the codes but..The last thing I did was use datediff.. and show the result on a label.. and when I wasn't satisfied with the result I changed a few lines, and I noticed it was still the same whenever I run it.I've tried changing/deleting the codes to my forms but whenever I run the program, it still works. I even tried deleting the form and it still works.
