My project contains a DataGridView with a SQL Database Table called Shows. This is a list of TV Shows and I want to apply several filters to it. So I have several different columns to apply the filter to.
1. Completed (bit)
2. Hide (bit)
3. Seen (bit)
4. Genre (nvarchar)
Currently I am using RadioButtons to switch between the queries, but I want to be able to have several filters applied at the same time with CheckBoxes.

I am trying to make a list, separated by a comma, of entries from a single column in a SQL database. I have been spending the last several days searching for a way to do this, but every thing I found either didn't work, or wasn't exactly what I was looking for.
The query will pull all the email address that are not null. What I need to know is how to take the result of that query and make it look like this:
email0@address.com, email1@address.com, email2@address.com, etc, etc, ...
I feel like I should know this, but for the life of me, I can't remember nor can I find it in any of the textbooks I have.
I am using Visual Basic 2010 and SQL Server 2005. I also have access to Visual Basic 2005 if needed.
I have multiple datasets that I would like to combine into one. There is a common ID field that can be associated to each row. Calling Merge on the dataset will add additional rows to the dataset, but I would like to combine the additional columns. There are too many fields to do this in one query and therefore would make it unmanageable. Each individual query would be able to handle ordering to ensure the data is placed in the correct row.
For Example lets say I have two queries resulting in two datasets:
SELECT ID, colA, colB
SELECT colC, colD
The resulting dataset would look like
ID colA colB colC colD
1 a b c d
2 e f g h

I know that we can bind a data source to the datagrid view but if I want to populate the same datagrid view with different set of data but the column names are the same. Based on a date range entered by the user I would like to populate the datagrid view. Can we do this at design time? If I not how do I do this?

I believe I have the data in my matrices correct. Applying any single matrix to an array of points does a correct transformation.I am wondering if I understand how to combine multiple matrices into a single one.I understand you just have to multiply them together.I took this to mean you just have to multiply each element with its corresponding element in the second to make a third matrix?[code]

second line: assigned quantity for that item for that customer

The second line will have numbers if other table has information about that customer reservations, or will be in 0 if not.I can load the first line of each pair, with the data of the "requested" items loading a datagrid with a datatable.
I've got a couple of drop down lists for languages. I bind them to a language list that comes from a query. Then the fields are also bound to the row in the DB they relate to. I have several panels with the language drop down - each "tied" to a different table in my DB. When I call up different records on the same panel the drop downs immediately "set to the position" of that rows language in the list. But when I call up another panel - tied to another database table - I see that language in the drop down.

I am trying to scan multiple pages from an Automatic Document Feeder Scanner and combine them to a singlemulti-page tif file. I am using two different third party libraries to do this.The first library I am using is to scan the documents. It saves the files to the local hard drive as single page tif files. I've made a rudimentary program that combines multiple files into one single file. Currently if I combine two .csv files together the output comes out correctly for what I need, which is a coma delimited file. When I try to combine two .csv files into a .xls file it doesn't format correctly (I get all the data separated by commas, but thrown into one column in the .xls file). For this reason I believe I need to add a delimiter.I'll post my code below.

I have tried everything I can to get beyond this error which shows below as <<<<< error here. It is trying to fill a dataset from a data adapter. If I change the SELECT statement to just SELECT * FROM xTable I get the correct number of records in each table. But anytime I try with a more complex statement I get the error message shown below which indicates System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.Fill(DataSet dataSet. I've completely erased all data and entered a new set of test data so I know there is no problem with relationships. Each table has primary key which is foreign key in other table. I have two Datagrids, One grid has all the customers garments on it with style number and contact length. The other grid has the users who have garment issued to them. the style number is in both grids. I need to loop through the users grid and say if the contract number is 1 from the first grid then the contract date on the second grid will be todays date + 365 days (year contract) I have looked at using a stored procedure and also a for each command but I am just getting stuck with it all. I added some fields to a table in my Access database which is the dataset in my VB.NET 2008 project. So now I'm going to have to re-configure the dataset. (Data/Show data sources/configure dataset with Wizard - at least that's the way I know to do it). Will this wipe out the exixting queries in my table adapters? Even on tables that have not been changed? If so, is there any way to avoid this?

Is the best method to loop through the gridview and call an SQL procedure on every loop to find matching records? Or should I pull the entire sql db into a datatable and query the dataset in my gridview loop?

I have a vb.net project where I have data loaded into a datatable in a dataset and have to do approximately 20 updates that are sql like. On this project, I don't have access to sql nor does the end user want to use any type of sql, sql express etc.
My question is, is there a generic way of doing this so I can reuse it. Was wondering if a dataview could be analgous to the "WHERE CLAUSE" and some type of delegate function could be the update function.

I am currently working on an assignment called "Douglas Resort Reservation" and we are supposed to select a query from the combo box Guest Search. For example, when I select Barb Allen, I get the info to display properly, which is good. But, I still have a problem.
When I try to click my button 'Prepare Invoice', I want Barb Allen's info to be displayed in my listbox 'Invoice'. But, now I don't have that complete. I have a whole list of items generated when I load my whole thing from my Form Load event from the textfile RESORT.TXT. I get a whole list of items instead of individualized items.
My question for you is: "How can I get just ONE name and person's information to show up?" when I press the button 'Prepare Invoice'.[code]...

I need to connect to a SQL Server from a network drive, I'm unable to due to the security settings on the network drive and I'm unable to have these changed.Is there any other ways of connecting to this SQL Server?
