Regular Expressions - Show First Match Only?
Sep 11, 2010I'm trying to use regular expressions to find a matching model within the game. This part works perfectly! The only problem is that if it finds more than one match it'll try to place all matches it finds which I don't want it to do. Anyone more advanced in Regex can they tell me how to use regular expressions to only show one match or the first match it finds?

SQL Match On Letter And Number Arrangement Without Using Regular Expressions
Feb 21, 2011Is it possible to write an SQL statement for MySQL which finds all rows which match a specific arrangement of letters/numbers without using REGEXP? i.e. SELECT myCol FROM myTable WHERE myCol='{number}{number}{letter}'Should return 12X and 34Y but not 123X or 34YY..SQL match on letter and number arrangement). The difference is that I have discovered that I cannot use regular expressions with the ADO.Net driver I am using. Whatsmore, I cannot update it since I am using Visual Studio 2003 which is not compatible with later versions.]

I have edited the column headers and set the column names to the same values as my table names yet the data is not showing in form load I have set datagridview.AutoGenerateColumns = False I know the data is there if I delete datagridview.AutoGenerateColumns = False then the data is shown with the default headings?

Oct 24, 2011I have a mvc 3 app that uses EF. In one function I need to get a count of rows that match a statement. I thought I could just do it like this:

But that stays at 0 even when there are 40 records that match the criteria.. I think I have the right idea I just need to change the syntax a little..

The problem is that the Gridview doesn't seem to like repetitive column names and is renaming the second set of Question #s to something else.

Googling has shown that this is much easier with a SQL database, but that doing so in Access is much more difficult. I came across this question Is there a query that will return all of the column names in a Microsoft Access table? Which gives a way to do it, but when I try the code it just populates my list with a bunch of "System.Collections.Generic.List'1[System.String]"
