Create ASP.NET Page To Act As A "proxy" For Silverlight WebClient?

I need to create an ASP.NET application to access a URL, when this application is live it is able to access the feed URL correctly as the clientaccesspolicy.xml and crossdomain.xml are on the server but only allow non-localhost connections so the debug version won't connect. How do I create a file, so this kind of link:

Can be used to pass-through to the RSS feed service live URL like:
[URL]
So that I can develop my application via localhost as I can add a clientaccesspolicy and crossdomain file to this application so my Silverlight Application can access the live RSS service, while being developed without having to deploy it online every time I need to see what the application will look like.
A dummy RSS file is not suitable as I need to see various "Items" from the Feed.

I am making a little program witch get information from the web. Now i got some complains from people who are behind proxys. So my question is: Is there a way to get the proxy settings from IE, and let the WebClient use them?

I just noticed that if I use WebClient to download an image in my VB.NET application, it will use a proxy that I have set in internet explorer (under connections->lan settings)! I don't want this to happen.. Is there a way I can use WebClient in my application but stop it from using the proxy? (but would be nice to keep the proxy set in internet explorer).

I'm using the following code to set the proxy on an HTTPWebRequest:
Dim proxy As New WebProxy("HOST:PORT")
...Then...
' Goto the final URL
request = CType(WebRequest.Create("[URL]"), HttpWebRequest)
request.Proxy = curProxy
[Code] .....
Now I put in a valid Proxy, don't run into any problems applying it, but IPChicken will always return my IP address, not that of the proxy.

The above code will open a webclient, set the credentials (possible error?), create a stream of the entire page, and then load it into a string (str).I then scan through and look for what is needed (Gamerscore, Motto, Bio, etc)-in this case.This doesn't work however, it doesn't sign in.

I'm trying to use a java servlet in a 3rd party tool's web interface (CA service desk) to invoke it's download file functionality using a webclient in vb.net. The trouble is the text stream from response is markup and not the acutual text file stream.
It's like the page is redirecting to another page which actually presents the file for downloading. I have no idea what the redirected page URL is.
Is there a way I can process this redirected page in order to get at the download using a system.net.webclient?

I am looking to create a custom slide in menu that will host all of my modules for my application. The part I need guidance on is how to create the animation for the panel to slide in and out. I am looking to have a button on my application and when a user click on it I want it to expand down and right to show available modules. I am attempting to create a long range calendar that dynamically loads (and unloads) event data as the user scrolls left or right through time. I'm really struggling to figure out how to lay the basic framework of the UI out and how to dynamically build the interface as the user scrolls by clicking and dragging the mouse in the view area. See the image below for a basic diagram of the intent. Each slice would have potentially multiple rectangles in it for events that occurred on that day (slice). I would like each slice to be a canvas to allow me to position those rectangles appropriately.
There are a few problems that I am not yet sure how to tackle but this is the first big one that I've been mulling over for a while and can't quite wrap my head around:
I know how to dynamically create controls but how would I go about adding things to one end of the scrollable content while removing things from the other depending on the way the user is scrolling?

I have been trying to generate a Proxy class in VB.NET using a WSDL file for an Apache Axis SOAP Web Service. They have provided me the WSDL file and when I use the WSDL.exe command (In Visual Studio 08) and point it to the local path I get an error.

The Error

I'm trying to code a program that can download multiple files at once (on different threads of course).I have created a custom listview component that will allow me to add a progressbar directly to it.What my real question is, how can i take a url given by the user from an input box and create a new webclient to handle the download asynchronously and also report the progress without disturbing all of the other downloads in progress?

I have a LOB app written in VB.NET with a WinForms front-end and SQL back-end. After many months weighing up how to get onto the Web, I decided last month to use Silverlight 2. Now, Silverlight 3 Beta is out, but there is no end-user runtime.
Does anyone know when the runtime will be available for deployment of SL 3 apps onto client sites?
My dev timeline is about 3 months: should I persist with SL 2 and then u/g to SL3, or jump straight in to SL3?

I'd like to create a asp.net download page. I receive the file from a dataservice as a byte array. The file size can be up to 10gb. So I need to transfer the file "in parts".
